Great service from Russell White as our property manager on a tricky property, great communication and was involved in ensuring the property was ready and sorted, especially when it came to compliance as a new build house. Recommend dealing with him and the rest of the Albany team.

Have had Barfoot and Thompson Albany as my property managers for 5 years. The tenant moved out in July. During the four years, every house inspection report shows that the house is in excellent condition. But, when I toke the property back, the carpet and walls are ruined. There are moulds everywhere. It took me 1 month to fix and clean the house.

In recent days, I found out that there is a cat that keeps waiting by the front door. Took her to the vet this morning, and the vet said that this cat belongs to my ex-tenant. The tenancy agreement has clearly stated that no pet is allowed. How can the agent (Jerry Chen) not know about that? This is ridiculous! Oh, and according to the tenant, they are friends with Jerry Chen, like a really good friend. That might be the reason why Jerry Chen hiding information from me, he just helping his friend.

They have been excellent managers, always replying to emails quickly, finding new tenants easily, allowing us input where or if we wanted, and have managed all maintenance&repairs in an affordable way. We have experience with other rental management companies in Auckland and Barfoot has outperformed in all areas! Highly recommend.

I have Barfoot and Thompson Albany as my property managers for over 16 years. I have several properties around the country and although logistically it necessitate other property managers in other towns, B&T has been effortless and a stable manager.so stable that I had only three tenant in 16 years.they run, fix and maintain my house, have a great relationship with my tenants and tell me what I need to do to make this a perfect investment property

I've really enjoyed the communication between myself and Julia Chung. She's very considerate, quick to respond and fair in her judgement. She went above and beyond to understand the current challenging rental market and advised us appropriately.

People who are working in this agency are not responsible at all. I had a booking time in Albany scheduled from 2: 10pm to 2: 20pm. I drove for about 40 mins with my little daughter to view the property. We arrived at 2: 14pm and saw the agency car in the street leaving the property. I hunk the horn and asked them to stay and show me the property as I still had 6mins left, and even 1 min is enough to see if the property is as clean as the pictures show! The guy said "I had another appointment" and left! If my viewing time is for 2: 10pm to 2: 20pm, it means that the door should be open till 2: 20pm!
I am really sorry for this agency and will never work with them in the future.

So shocked at the unprofessionalism from Lily Zhang who tried to curse at me. Doesn't surprise me when I saw that this branch has 2 stars.

Not sure what’s up with this sales. She is very abusive and hot tempered. Sending insults left and right. She misunderstood my question and got frustrated I suppose but this really enlightening of an experience where a salesperson can insult their customers this way, I thought Barfoot had a good reputation.
