Barfoot & Thompson Glenfield

Had a great experience with glenfield branch, Shelbie really looked after me and my family. Would 100% recommend this branch to anyone looking for a rental property that wants to be looked after.

I would like to recommend Matt Waters who works for Barfoot and Thompson, Glenfield Branch, as a very good and efficient letting agent. Matt recently rented out a property that I own in Glenfield that became vacant, to very suitable tenants. He used good judgement in selecting responsible tenants. From my first phone call to Matt I was impressed with his friendliness and positive attitude. He was helpful throughout the entire letting process and acted professionally at all times. The fact that he had an excellent knowledge of NZ Tenancy Law and Regulations was important to me and he was able to advise me of recent updates. Matt communicated well with me and kept me fully informed re prospective tenants and viewings etc. He even went out of his way to assist me with the paperwork. As a property owner I would not hesitate to use Matts services again for any future rentals I have.

I find that Barfoot and Thompson Glenfield have been absolutely wonderful!
Shelbie Barrett, one of the property managers there, is absolutely fantastic. I had a couple of issues happen at the place I live in, and the service was so quick and she really paid attention to what we needed. She’s really fair as well, and is really polite, no matter what I asked! 5/5 stars for sure, I used to never have such a great property manager!

Coralie Lush handled selling my Mums home in Orewa. Great skills with making the task as hastle free as possible and understanding when dealing with a 90 year old parting with her home.

Horrible property managers!

Matt Waters has no care to tenant's safety, well being or comfort.
Absolute no concern to NZ legislation.
Makes renting properties a complete nightmare instead of considering it a home.

Recommendation: Either do it yourself or hire decent property managers.

I have my investment properties managed by the team for the past 7 years. They are excellent I could rely on fully, they always provide 2-3 options for potential solutions with their professional recommendations, considering long term view. My property manager is always reachable within a short period of time and cares as if it’s his own. Highly recommended to those people who are looking for reliable and trusted property manager.

I couldn't wish for a better property manager. I have full trust and faith in Mr Clay Reeve to take care of my rental properties as if they were his own. His attention to detail, tenant relations, proactive rental price adjustments and the cost/value care that he takes, looking out for my best interests, when quoting repairs and the like truly make him a standout. 5 stars just is not enough. I have moved my properties from B&T Mission Bay to B&T Glenfield for one reason; so Clay can continue to manage them. Having had other properties around NZ with other companies and other managers I know first hand how rare it is to find someone with the skillset and passion that Clay has and I am thrilled coming up 5 years ago I gave Clay the opportunity to manage them, because I haven't looked back.

Mr. Reeve is the best rental manager ever, very reliable and always provides extra mile support!

Worst first flatting experience. Me and my partner from day 1 of our 6 month lease with barfoot and thompson we were messed around. Paying $600 a week and the house was not cleaned when we moved in, lawns not done. Clay reeve was extremely hard to deal with. We had problems with rats, bugs, and a maggot problem on going. I feel sorry for who ever has moved into the property we moved out of. Has taken a month now to get our bond back. I would avoid barfoot and thompson glenfeild like the plague. We had to deal with a leaky home with black mould growing in all the bedrooms and in the carpet. Our rentig experience in auckland with his conpany is one of the major reasons we have left for Australia. All barfoot and thompson cares about is your money, dont care about the tenants.
