Amos Ling has recently handled the sale of our properties.   His professionalism and communication skills are excellent.    As overseas owners, it is not easy to navigate the sales process remotely.   Amos has exuded a sense of comfort and trust that we are in good hands.   Good work Amos!   Your humility,   cheerful and positive disposition deserves recognition.

They are so kind and helpful at a time that you are stressed whether you are Buying, selling or needing to find a rental property.

Never before have I found getting a rental so painful. I realise they want a good tenant for the owners but these guys go way over the top. The questions asked of our references were way beyond what was needed and a breach of privacy. We were lied to the whole way through the process, stupid lies such as "I changed phone provider that's why I didn't call" I'm not 5 I've heard them all before.

When we were finally done with the KGB background checks we were offered the property but only on a 7 and half month lease with the excuse the owner finds it hard to rent it out in the winter and we should be offered an extension. Clearly the owner is just away for winter and Barfoots are trying to scam people.

We were also hassled by multiple people to pay the bond being told 3 other applications were waiting, so why did 2 more viewings pop up on Trademe immediately after we turned it down? More lies I think.

Will be sure to avoid in future and spread the word.

Had a great rental experience for the better part of two years without any issues, the property managers communicated well and were very attentive. Could easily give a five star review.

Then everything changed, Patrick gave us a surprise inspection, we didn't complain but then when he he increased the rent on Christmas eve without notice and didn't acknowledge the mistake, we moved.

After this, he only scanned page 1 of the bond refund form back to the agency which further delayed the process at our end.

Each property manager is very different and can make or break the rental experience, just one wrong person can change the reputation of the whole branch and that is a shame.

If you own a property in Remuera and you want to sell it the only firm to deal with is Barfoot & Thompson. They have the most experienced people and have had the biggest share of the local Remuera market for many years, for good reason.
