I had some car troubles, I was originally going to a different mechanic, but the other guys were quoting a lot to fix something simple, so I went to these guys and they happily fixed it, easily and pretty cheap

Good at what they do but have a tendency to add on charges such as freight, and do services which are not essential such as changing wiper fluid and charging you for it when it isn't essential for service. They also charge for "lubricants" - $20 from memory which is far too expensive for grease on 8 brake bolts for example. If they can get by for charging you for something you don't nesseseryly need they do that.

I have been going to Birkdale motors for 5 years now and even with the new ownership they continue to prove excellent service with integrity and honesty. They will most always fit you in in one or two days and have always looked after me if I have needed urgent repairs. They care about their customers and with their honesty, will tell you what needs prioritising which shows they arent there to rip anyone off. They are welcoming, easy to get on with and I can't recommend them highly enough. Jacqui T

Between the car dealer and other mechanics I felt I couldn't trust anyone in the car industry. After I dealt with Roy and his garage I know I have someone I can trust that will give me honest service.

These guys will pull out all the stops to get you going again. Great knowledge, very fair rates and you can trust them to use their judgement and commonsense to resolve any issues that arise. I don't trust many trades, preferring to do it myself. Josh is the exception to the rule.

Honest and reliable. Roy and Josh are amazing they work hard and do their best for their customers. Some have been going for 20 years.

Just took my car in for a WOF on Tuesday. She was ready the same afternoon (even after needing a little work done and a basic service). Always found their services to be reliable, reasonably priced, and the guys there are super honest, friendly (and a great sense of humour!). Won't go anywhere else!:)
