Nice place, good food, great service,
nice atmosphere but music too loud for hearing conversations.

I had the chicken schnitzel and my partner had the pork belly sando-both divine! Drinks were good and the service was awesome! Atmosphere was pretty loud and busy but it was a Saturday night in Auckland so that’s probably what you’d expect! Would definitely recommend a visit, maybe for lunch if you prefer it a little quieter but overall it was awesome!

We went there for a work Xmas lunch. We were a big group too. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

The food came out surprisingly quick, and it was delicious! My partner said that her cheeseburger was one of her best ones ever. The fried chicken burger was excellent too.
The fried chicken loaded fries were a bit disappointing. But some of that is likely down to our taste buds so not worth worrying over.

The staff were really friendly but there was not much communication between them and some seemed a little clueless. I saw different staff repeating the same things to some customers which was mildly embarrassing.

Excellent range of beers and other drinks. Really attentive staff who are attentive and good fun.

Very good pre gig pub before the arena or Tuning Fork events.

We made a booking at Brew at 4.45pm, for a quick dinner before the Lion King show at 6.30 (6 adults, 1 child). On arrival we could tell the place was PACKED and it was obvious most people there were also going to the Lion King. Luckily we had booked and a table had been reserved for us. Our drinks and food orders were taken relatively quickly, and it was at this point that we did inform the waitress that we were going to the show. We ordered similar meals (purposefully) - 3 brew burgers, 2 cheeseburgers, 1 seafood chowder and a kids cheeseburger to make it easier on the kitchen.
Our drinks came fairly quickly which was great. We were still feeling very positive because at this point it was a little after 5pm and we thought we had plenty of time to go. Unfortunately things went downhill from here. By 5.30pm (no food in site) my partner went and asked about wait time. We were told that at the point of ordering the wait time was 25 mins, so we still felt sure our food would be coming soon. 5.45pm and our food still hadn't arrived. I went to ask again, and this time asked them to be completely honest with us and was told that the plates were on the pass and that the food would be out in 4 minutes. The minutes ticked by.at 5.55pm our food finally arrived. The burgers first, all but the kids meal and chowder which didn't come out until after 6pm. By this point we were in a mad rush and couldn't even enjoy the food. The chowder was nice, but too hot to eat quickly and my daughter didn't have time to eat her meal either.
Overall the lack of communication was disappointing. We really felt like they were unprepared for the influx of people BUT I am sure this is their bread and butter. My understanding is this place is often busy before events at Spark Arena. Surely better systems need to be put in place - more staff in the kitchen perhaps? Better food prep? Smaller menu for event nights? Also the staff could have been a little more apologetic - not once did we get a sorry for the wait or something along those lines.
We felt lucky that we at least got our meals, because the 10 people next to us had their order cancelled (ran out of meals) and ended up with fries.
To be completely fair to the guy at the bar who settled our bill, he did end up giving us the drinks and chowder for free which is why I am giving 3 stars rather than less.
The food was better than average and the beers were great, but we won't be coming back.

Great place to meet up with friends, great atmosphere with friendly staff and amazing service. We joined the famous PIE club very satisfied to say the least and matched with a pale ale awesome experience absolutely going back for seconds cheers

Just average, had the beef burger (2 patties) and a beer. Pretty tasteless but edible came with chips of variable portions (mate had the same he got twice the size serve of chips). Beers limited on tap had to wait and finally then ask to be served by serving staff. It all took lots of time and the place was near empty. Friendly enough. The art work in the place is unique particularly a large wall depicting many intoxicated people. When I voiced to staff that the food was just average there was no follow up other than "but you ate it". I didn't say it was awful or inedible just average they missed an opportunity for some face to face feedback.

Awesome bar, with great atmosphere, very friendly staff, and as far as Auckland goes, their drinks prices were very reasonable! Was there on Saturday night, and had a very talented band, that played a wide variety of songs, covering grunge, pop, rock, and even country. Made for an outstanding night out, and will definitely be going back. Next time I hope to sample what looked like a tasty menu.

Chicken burger sounded delicious but unfortunately I had to use the tomato sauce from my chips to create more flavour. Waitress also ordered the wrong meal for my partner but we didn’t have time to wait for a new meal so he had to eat what he was given (this is the reason I wish people would write orders down instead of trying to remember them). We were offered a free beer for this mix up. We also were not meal checked either. Probably won’t rush back.

Very interesting historic building. The staff were great. Place was buzzing when we got there. Unfortunately we ordered loaded fries with salsa and guacamole, which was terrible. That not withstanding it is worth the time to visit.

Popped in for a pint to watch Americas Cup on St. Patrick's day. Bar busy.

Always a great atmosphere. Come here once a month for a meetup, and it never dissappoints. Good food, good drinks, good people

Great place to grab a beer and a bite with friends.
They have 6 or 7 beers on tap, and over 100 craft beers by the bottle.
The service was fairly good, even though we were there at a busy time

I recommend trying IPA here which is 7.2%, don't remember the name but it's by far one of the best ones that I've had! Music is really good, live sometimes! Has a decent outdoor seating area and inside sitting area isn't very bad too! Bartender is super friendly and always looking after his customer! Crowd is always decent in here and the staff have great hospitality! I'd always come back here and have a great weekend. Highly recommended!

We visited the rooftop bar for a birthday event and it was a great experience. The bartender was friendly and served some amazing cocktails. The facilities were also clean. Will certainly consider going back again.

Had my birthday celebrations on the rooftop here - was such a great atmosphere and friendly service. We wanted to stay longer!
Oscar was a very good host, he took care of all of us and we had great banter with him:)
