Chinoiserie Bar and Eatery reviews
68Few items on the menu but food excellent. Not expensive. We ordered 6 items and the bill was $60. Plenty of off street parking.
Had the pork belly buns are they are the best! Also had the ribs but I didn't enjoy them as they were very dry.
Overcrowded. Won't take bookings. Not great service. Very slow to bring out meals. Had to squeeze 6 people round a 4 person table
Tasty. Reasonable serving sizes. Staff were friendly. Nice condiments. Restaurant was freezing cold despite having the kitchen in the dining area.
Best bao in town! My husband and I get takeout here often, we now have to order TWO sides of the coconut squid rings because we would fight over just ONE. Hiiiiighly recommend. If you want to dine in, get there early! They don't take bookings and they are super popular.
Very friendly and helpful staff! They were rushing but keeping it warm and friendly! Braised pork belly bao is to die for - crispy skin with tender and fatty meat! Pork ribs could do with less salt in my opinion. Perfect for hanging out with mates and friends.yeah and the mulled wine! Just found it at this least expected place!
Though it was quite busy and it took a while for our food to come. The place has a cool atmosphere, affordable and with good portions. Ordered the ribs, pork belly bao and the squid. Definitely will come back to try some more. However, we sat a table away from the toilet and saw the sink everytime the door opened. It would be nice if there was like a barrier or divider around there to block that view.
What an awesome eatery! A busy place and a locals treat. The food is served hot, popping with flavours and textures. The smalls are salivating. The pork belly bao is delicious and for $8 I feel it’s great value for money. The ribs are flavourful and the tender meat is worth the wait during busy times. Drinks are reasonable and they even off mulled wine and Asahi. If you’re a foodie with a an edge, then this is a place to check out. All in all, not only would I recommend to others I will be back to try more.
