They do not check vaccine pass!

The gentleman has bad attitude when I was ordering food!

They told me they close at 3: 30pm but asked me to leave at 3: 20pm (with a not so nice face)

Ordered Columbus Breakfast bacon poached eggs sausage tomato Hash brown my meal was overcooked dry bacon sausage and eggs over over poached disapointing coffee average

The food tasted good, staff were nice, restaurant was clean and had cute decor and atmosphere. But what is this wrap.the first half was more full, but still had an empty part at the end. Maybe if I hadn't had it toasted in a panini press it would have looked different, but for $12.50 its quite disappointing to see how empty it is.

Coffee was decent but service Sunday afternoon was awful, the lady serving us (looked to be the Manager, not making coffees) was extremely rude and made us feel unwelcome from the minute we came up to the counter

They're supposed to check vaccine pass, but didn't do that when I visited today in the morning. It's disappointing

Just got extra burnt milk, can’t even drink it without burning my tounge. Shouldn’t every barista know how not to burn the milk? I know they emphasized this a lot when I had my training… anyway, once and never again:)

Just got a latte here, but it tasted like it was contaminated with soy milk.yuk. You got to have separate jugs for different milk.

I had decent expectations but whatever I ordered was dry and not appetizing. Only the almond croissant was decent. But the service was quick.

The food is very substandard and the coffee is quite often burnt. Tried these guys out a number of times because of their convenient location and eventually had to accept they weren't going to change.

We visited Columbus Cafe at Ellerslie about three weeks ago. Lovely atmosphere, good table service, food very disappointing and basic. When asked at the till how we found the lunch, we were honest and the manager seemed totally uninterested to the point of being rude. We asked to see the receipt before we paid and he refused saying we could see the receipt after we paid. Would not recommend going here as there are more enjoyable and hospitable options in Ellerslie.

I had breakfast here earlier this morning before a meeting.

It was ok, nothing special, from all the cafes I've been too in Auckland these guys have a long way to go.

Style, taste, pricing - it's lacking

Disappointing when there is so much choice. I have loved in the past, I feel like it's new owners

Had lunch on Sunday with my 3 kids and afew former work colleagues. There were afew other diners there also but I must say the atmosphere was real dead and quite. Counter staff man didn't look happy to be there and omg! There food prices is horrendously expensive. $10sausage roll? $8 small bowl of chips? I Def won't be buying these food next time. I spent $70 on myself and 3 kids 5,12,14yo. Next time I'll just get take away coffee. Staff didn't even say goodbye to us! Appalling hospitality!

Nice place. Great option for food and drinks.

I have used this cafe a lot over the years. Clean and bright atmosphere. The food hasn't changed much over the years, pretty basic. Manager serving yesterday (23/08/22), 1.45 hrs could at least could have shown one basic rule in customer service, a smile and learn some manners.

Food all came out at very different times, the 3yr Olds Toasted sandwich, came out after everyone else had finished their meals fully and we needed to get it takeaway as we had waited 40 minutes and had to leave.

The food took a long time to come and was pricey, my burger was adequate but not great. The coffee was good though.

Chicken filo and filled English muffin were delicious, but the broccoli salad was a let down with overcooked broccoli. Location is quite noisy with poor acoustics and traffic noise.
Unisex toilet was incorrectly installed so that seat wouldn't stay up, which caused it to be unclean. Hope they'll get that fixed.

Average food compared to other Columbus Cafe franchises we have visited. Lovely premises, staff friendly and it was good service. It was a shame that our food did not come with a salad as in other places.

Always come here when I'm home great vibe and warmth although the food seems to be loosing it's good looks.didn't wow us nor does it taste how we remember
