Comer Firewood

Open on a Sunday, absolute stars, winter purchase of wood went up in smoke no problem.cheers

Ordered online from overseas for my sister, prompt communication and delivery. Truck driver was helpful and experienced. Thankyou for reading my online order and following instructions. My sister and nieces are very appreciative they were able to stack load from the top of the steep, narrow driveway.

2 Issues I have:
1. When Sue phoned the evening prior to delivery, I asked what size truck she used. She advised it was similar to a Countdown delivery one. That is not what turned up our drive. I was asking because of our beloved Titoki trees up the drive were prone to any truck damage. I trimmed the trees before she arrived.
Well one tree got an almighty smack, dumped the firewood and then smacked another tree on the way out. The trunk of the tree was split in half. She offered nothing in compensation, except an apology, so we negotiated $100 off the order.
2. Now that the firewood was dumped, I was busy throwing it into our storage area, and noticed the quality of the wood. I will have to look it up as to what percentage of a load is appropriate for a "Hot Mix" delivery, but compared to other deliveries we have had over 20 years, that mix of hardwood was horribly light. As I said, the quality of the wood overall was disappointing.

I think that if we put a match to the pile, the match would burn longer. This firewood, for some reason, does not burn very well overall. A lot of rotten pieces are included.

We ordered 4m and got about 3m of wood and 1m of kindling or rubbish.

Very happy with the friendly and efficient/prompt delivery service and the dryness of the wood. Cut perfectly and a good mix of soft and hard wood. Plenty of small pieces to use as kindling. Thanks!

Great company to deal with. Were super mindful not to damage my garage door, having to get really close because of power lines and the tipper truck. Thoughtful enough to put my wheelie bins in front of the door to lessen the impact. Would happily deal with them again!

I bought a vehicle from this company last year. The owner had it for 22 years, but when I bought it he outright lied to me about its condition. I approached them for compensation. No response. They have a bad reputation in this area. Not trustworthy people at all.

Nice sized pieces of good dry firewood. Been coming here regularly for 5 years or so. No complaints from me

Picked up firewood today half rain wet. Had to deal with the owner, impatient and swearing alot.i only said the wood was rain wet. He got really angry. Maybe they should keep him out the back. Good wood if its dry.

Satisfied with our first load of hardwood from Comer. Price competitive, moisture content within the range, and prompt friendly delivery by Petra. Some pieces larger than our firebox but lucky Mr Jay needs no excuse to flash up the 20-inch! Further proof will be in the burning.

Ordered in the middle of winter and didn't expect to get a load of dry wood. Bought 3 x cubic meters. Comer delivered quickly, were good to deal with and the wood was surprisingly dry overall. Good mix of gum and pine (possibly some Macrocarpa in there too), little to no bark, no gravel at all which I was happy about. Happy with the purchase.

Very happy with the cubic metre we picked up today, super helpful staff and the wood is all dry. I highly reccomend the mixed wood from comer firewood. Thank you guys for being a true to your word business.

I've used Comer happily for years - just mentioned this year that a (very) few pieces in my previous delivery had been too big to fit my firebox. Comer contacted me promptly, my feedback was well received and this years wood is all the right size and beautifully dry. I recommend Comer Firewood wholeheartedly.

Ordered a top up of wood for this winter (2 square meters). Majority of the wood (85%) is not dry (and not just rained on wet but properly fresh wet), very hard to burn and lots and lots of debris. We had the same experience 2 winters ago but thought we’d try again as it was fast delivery and no fuss order, however disappointed that this is the result again. We wont be going back again.

Moisture issues. Collected some wood after 3 days of sunshine but after a further 3 days indoors, wood still won't burn properly.
The sign said 'dry' firewood so I assumed I didn't need to ask if it was. I'm sure this company would try to rectify the issue but 1m3 has been shifted up 2 flights of stairs now so not much can be done now, it ain't going back!

We have had wood from here a few times over the years and its usually ok The last few times was at the end of lockdown and then again last weekend. Really disappointed with this last batch, really small odd pieces, with lots of debrie, could hardly stack, very disappointed

It's been very hard getting the fire going and we have had our fireplace cleaned out too. But easy to deal with, easy booking process and not too bad communication.

Ordered late August and got a fast delivery of dry gum and hot mix. Generous quantity and top quality, Thanks guys!
