After being with Gabco for many years we have recently changed due to the poor service, lack of communication and astronomical price increases. The original owners gave excellent service. Not so now. Our 2 monthly collections have been weeks late each time. Our bag collection price increased 20% for the 2023/2024 year, 20% for the 2022/2023 year and 20% from 2020 to 2022. Communication is poor. You must communicate by phone or through the customer account login. I sent a message to cancel the service and received an immediate automated response. During a phone call 13 days later (when my request had not been actioned) I was told they had only received it that day. It took 11 days to remove the bag and frame.

For around ten years these guys were great. But now they make mistakes with their invoicing and randomly miss collections. I have tried for three months to get extra pick ups from them - you'd think they would be keen for the additional business - but the full bags are still sitting there. When you do eventually get them on the phone the sales reps can't find the operations manager or the operations manager isn't for some reason able to get in contact with the driver who may or may not still be in the area and perhaps they will send another driver in the next seven days but they are not sure. It's like a bad joke.

They keep asking for money ive paid, twice now, impossible to contact, they only use "do not reply" emails. Website is a waste of time and effort.
They wont even collect their empty bin thats been on the road for weeks.
I cannot recommend this company less.

Poor service, poor billing. Always late collection, poor communication. Continued disappointment even takes time for them to collect their bag equipment when cancelling contract

Just lots of problems, missing collections, being charged for extra collections and extra bins that never occured. They tried pulling a sneaky on people by giving a free garden bag to trial but was only free for the first few months then would be charged unless returned.

Like many others, I left Gabco for another company after repeated issues. The last issue was that I had prepaid several months worth of collections and they deducted it all at once and said that I had zero credit. They then sent me a bill for my next collection! I Tried to get it resolved but honestly its so hard to get in contact and when you do its "not the right person". I gave up in the end and paid the "outstanding" invoice / kissed goodbye to my money just to avoid being unduly referred to debt collectors. Sad way to end a 10 year relationship.

Not even 1 star. Under new management apparently. No response to emails, no one answering the phone. No idea what is going on. Not good Gabco. Get your act together or you will have NO customers left. AND. 2 years on it's 2021.and they're just as useless. No response to my email enquiries. No phone number to call them. What sort of company operates in this way? Apalling. I'm cancelling my service and they can sing for their 3 months in advance.over it. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT REQUEST A QUOTE
Don't even request a quote from this company, they'll just place your order without actually giving you the price first. I was comparing services, some companies told you prices outright, this one didn't, so I tried to get a quote.

On each page they asked for my details, it said at the top:
"Enter your details to receive your personalised quote. No order will be placed unless you accept our quote. "

But guess what? By the time I entered all my details, I got a message saying thanks for your order! Never showed a single price or sent a single quote before placing my order. 2 days after I requested my "quote", (and 2 unanswered emails clarifying that I was requesting a quote only), we received a dirty bin with rubbish in it, and an emailed invoice for 6 months service. That was the first price I ever saw from them.

I've sent several emails and haven't received any response. I should have known from these reviews how difficult this company is to deal with, but I never thought they would trick me into ordering by using a false statement that "No order will be placed unless you accept our quote. "

Horribly deceptive, terribly disappointing.

They went from top to the lowest customer service in a blink. Always deduct your payments but miss collection almost every second month. Also the invoice is not in sync and showing irregular deductions and charges. My bin has been lying on the kerbside for over a week now and I haven't been able to get in touch with these guys.

I wish I had seen the comments before seeking their services. CHarged me twice. Then charged me for a service that was supposed to be for free. I will not recommend these guys ever. Thieves. Will make complaint asap with small business courts.

They are understaffed and not great at communicating. I've waited over a month and I still do not have my bin. I left numerous messages on their online system with no reply. The reason they get 1 star from me is because they are giving me a full refund. I'd stay away from this business.

The previous owners were fantastic and we used them for years. The new owners are the complete opposite. Do not use this company. They are totally unprofessional.poor communicators and try to charge you for bags months in advance. They add additional incorrect charges to invoices and do not commuicate. Beware!

Just about the hardest company to contact, the billing is a nightmare and there is no phone number on the website and sending a detailed message through their "contact us" resulted in no contact for four days. It doesn't need to be that hard. The bins get collected as expected, I suppose that's a plus.

All round poor customer service.

Their communication is incredibly poor. They are hard to get hold of via the phone or client portal messaging system and they do not respond to messages left.

The drivers appear to be in a rush due to being weeks behind in collections (even before Covid). Recently the empty bags have been left folded over the side of the stand and not hung up which results in the bag blowing off in the wind.

They do not run to their collection schedule and you never know when they are collecting as their text alert system is out of sync, reporting the wrong collection data.

Gabco charge quarterly in advance. Resulting in payment of collections that dont happen, due to the ongoing collection delays. Prices increases happen on the same invoice which notifies of the price increase.

If they improved their customer service then Gabco would have the ability be a good company, but sadly this has been lacking for years.

This is the worse company to deal with. I stopped their service couple of years ago (in 2017). They keep sending me a letter for outstanding invoice. However when I asked them what is that invoice for? No one knows. Now in 2020 I received a letter again for outstanding debt and threatening me to refer to debt collection agency. First you need to explain what is that invoice for. Shame on your service.

I have patiently waited a month for my bag to be picked.
I have tried phoning them no reply
I have tried to contact them and page not found
what next?
After being taken over the price went up and the service went down and now no service at all

Worst service I have ever had in my life! Keep sending me someone else invoices, somebody entered our property recently with no reason and tried to collect our half-empty bag. I have sent Gabco about 5 emails with no reply at all. Like we don't exist.

They charged us for their services 6 months in advance. Our bin was not collected in December and January. We have now cancelled their services but they keep sending us more invoices. Useless. Very hard to communicate with anyone in that company,

We terminated our collection service in Nov 2018. And yet they send us an invoice in March 2019. I called and the lady said someone from management will call me back but no one did. I sent a couple of emails.but no one reply. I received another invoice total $43.00 for an extra bag which I did not order. Why would I order another bag when I have terminated my collection service in 2018. Is this a scam? Can someone please help.
