Service was so slow. The worst I have ever encountered. We waited for over 30 mins to get drinks. People around us left because they never even got their orders taken.and it wasnt even busy!

Food was tasteless and the Margarita cocktail was the worst and just tasted like syrup.the worst ever.

Uninviting experience on 3-1-24. Reservation 6.45 arrived 6.55. Ordered drinks and entrée, which arrived at 7.30-7.45. Within 5 -10mins upon receiving entre advised we need to order mains and desert as kitchen closing in 10mins. This is all before 8pm. Rushed into ordering, rushed into eating. Food - seafood platter was below average, just battered and unflavored. The batter ws more than the fish pieces within. I would not recommend botany Goode and would not get there again.

If you want to have your mood ruined with rude & unfriendly staff, long waits to be served and mediocre food then you should definitely come here!

Spent well over a hundred bucks to get served with an attitude from the moment we stepped in.

Such a mission trying to wave for anyone to come take our order… we waited more than 10 mins.they just brush you by or say they'll be back but never comes back.

The waiter girl with dark hair was extremely rude. She talks to you like you're a bother to her. She will be the main reason I will not visit again.

Yes I understand it was busy but doesn’t excuse the poor attitude given.
If you really can’t handle the volume, hire more staff and give them better training on hospitality.

And it wasn’t just us, we heard other tables complaining as well.

Really disappointed, ruined what should have been a nice family time together.
Never coming back.

Thank you so much for your response. I do appreciate you trying to reach out and make amends. I can feel the sincerity in your apology & response. And for that you’ve earned my respect as a manager of such an establishment.

I really don’t want to pursue this further. I just hope this review can act as a good reminder for your staff to talk & treat people the way they would like to be treated. I just don’t wish for other people to have the same kind of experience we did in the future.
(I know i wasn’t the only one to experience this because I read other review below that had the same sort of experience).

So I truly wish you guys well!

Food was good, service was slow even though they weren't busy. Meals took ages to arrive especially dessert.
Music too loud for good conversation

Have been there a couple of times, and the attention was to slow both times. I had to go and pick up the menu for myself and later on, go to the bar to find somebody to take the order. Just 4 tables with customers at that moment and 5 people crew. Not really busy to be so slow.

Went from Auckland to Matamata for dinner and It was very nice. We had kids and they were able to play in the toy area. Good for families and great menu.

Amazing whenever we come to the carwash we always go here to get our time pass having food and drinks amazing sunny bar to enjoy your drinks.

The pasta was ok, a bit cold but nice flavours.
The lamb salad was pretty awful. Basically a bag of spinach leaves with some couscous and beetroot, and a tiny bit of lamb that was covered in fat.not even close to worth the cost. I expected a lot more to be honest, and ended up leaving half a plate that was just leaves - no dressing, nothing. The almonds were nice on top. Sadly would not go again, miss their old food like the chicken risotto

Neve and Laura made our experience great! We did the bottomless brunch and they were fantastic, refilling our drinks and making sure we had a good time thankyou!

The seafood pasta need improve, can't feel much taste.the same one I had in New Lynn branch is much better

Neve and Laura gave us some of the best service I’ve ever had in a restaurant. They constantly ensured our drinks were full and we didn’t have to wait longer then 15 mins for our meal. Highly, highly recommended.

Great food. The pasta and pizza were amazing. Perfect place to celebrate my birthday with friends last friday night. Ryan was our waiter and he is exceptional. The service was superb.

Came here last night, food took about 40 minutes and it was unflavoured. My friend had the chicken and Pork Chorizo, and it had no flavour at all! The chicken didn’t even have flavour either and no matter how many times we added salt to the dish it still was tasteless. I got the Ribeye steak and chips and most of my meat was just fat, the chips could’ve been on the side so then the red wine sauce doesn’t make them soggy, I also got garlic aioli on the side and it honestly just tasted like sour cream. We also ordered the Mojito and the Long Island cocktails, the mojito was completely watered down, just tasted like sprite and water, and the Long Island had like a chemical smell to the drink. Not impressed by how The Goode Brothers is now, before I would come here and the food tasted so much better.

Always love the food here, and the cocktails are prime! Would recommend the strawberry daiquiri!

Tasty pasta meals enjoyed by the three of us. Our waiter Suzan went above and beyond, friendly, helpful and came across as being genuine in her approach.not the usual just going through the motions approach to customer care. Suzan you make dining out a really positive experience. Awesome
