Can't speak about the accommodation as we only have an office at the front of building but both staff and building is great and they now have a upmarket cafe/ restaurant at the front which is super handy for us. Would say some of the people complaining about things should measure against the price they are paying as from what I've seen its the cheapest and given the building if you spent some $$ could be turned into a high end hotel that the complainers can't afford!

Great apartments, located in the heart of Auckland. Not so much a hotel, but if you just want a place to sleep and leave you're stuff while you explore I would certainty recommend staying here.

Great place to stay in the heart of the city! There are different rooms with different specifications - to suit your budget.

We had stayed twice through Airbnb. The place has beautiful and large common areas. Centralised kitchen where you can cook you own meal, dinning area, Paid washer/dryers, TT table, vending machines and parking.

The place has a very good security and fire management system in place.

Lot of people live here, and you never feel lonely!

Horrible place would give them zero or negitive -100 if I could bunch of Chinese people couldn’t speak or understand English at all, very rude and ignorant staff. Rooms are really filthy and moldy. Whole building smells so bad. Showers and toilets are on sharing based. Do not recommended to anyone.

Deplorable!
Staff and management utterly incompetent
If you’re spending $80-100 a night rather go where’s there’s a dedicated concierge

This place is run by a team of try Hard’s who fail to deliver and end up costing the guests dearly.
To date I await my security deposit purely because they’re not English speaking nor understanding.

I’d run for backpacking any day!

Value for money. I think you will struggle to find accommodation in Auckland as cheap as this with a decent quality. Its in a heritage site (the old railway station) which is pretty cool too. Parking overnight is $15 which isn't bad for central Auckland. Only deducted a star because it's quite noisy, lots of opening and closing of doors throughout the night. Would recommend ear plugs.

As of Feb 2018, the building has no air conditioning whatsoever. Nor does it have a proper ventilation. It gets really hot on the upper levels during the day in summer. Being in the kitchen is unbearable. Windows cannot be opened fully. Rooms & common areas are dirty. There are train tracks, concert hall and a port all nearby. You'll start hearing the trains from 5am. You'll also hear occasional loud loading of glass bottles in the night when one of the events finishes. Residents are mostly low income class, migrants or overseas students. Management is not very responsive. Duty manager has his phone on answering machine all the time. Makes me wonder how they got their licence as a commercial residential property.

Great for short term stay. Agent (Caleb) becomes irritated when called severally especially outside working hours even with a genuine need or concern. Probably the price (NZD 180 a week) makes it not to be a big concern for them.

Horrible student accommodation feel to the building. No air conditioning except a window out to the street at street level and a column fan. Mouldy shower tiles and water and hair still on the bathroom floor. A rip off at $205/night

Our very first accommodation in NZ was Grand Central Apartment. That period was kind of struggling for as new comer, but it has lots of goods remarkable memories as well.
If I am asked about good side then I must say it is situated at City heart, you will have chance to mingle with various kind of neighbors. It is cheap place to live in as a new comer.
In case of bad side, the kitchen is sparate, which is kind of hessel sometimes.

Shame the office closes early. Parking a bit of an issue. Bathrooms a bit awkward. Overall a nice place to stay. High ceilings give a good feel

Hotel duty manager is just roaming here and there and just sleep. I surprised when in my neighbour room i saw 8 student living. Toilet is only one and total 8 person in 2 room.
They even wash clothes in bothroom in sink. I dont know how to live here

Haven't lived here before but I been thinking about it. Its only a minimum of 3 months that anyone can stay there, especially for travelers. I wish it was just an open hostel to rent in.
