Helensville Community Recycling Centre. reviews
26Treasury, mystery, chaos, you never know whether you will find gold or junk. This place is all kinds of awesome
Take your old/broken stuff there, they recycle, sell or get rid of. Amazing and one can get real bargains. Great work guys.
A great initiative for the community. It takes reuseable every and anything for its shop function, whilst diverting waste from landfill. For a small fee you can also dispose of all types of materials and items. Their staff upcycle many things so theres always a bargain to be had
Pretty good can drop most stuff off there. Can usually find a good deal, bit of wood or pipe. Little confused on what they will take though seems it depends a lot on who's there or who looks at what. Scrap metal is easy and other resyceling stuff.
Excellent place for dropping off any recycling staff very welcoming and friendly. RECOMMEND TO ALL
It's OK prices are rather high for trailer loads of rubbish, you are better off taking the trip into the concourse to have it done by weight rather than than the thumb suck approach to charging here. Last trailer load I took here of mostly green waste was $100. It's understandable as the waste does then need to be shipped off but it's no longer the slightly more expensive option for convenience It's more like double the cost.
Hours say it shuts 4pm but actually they only accept collections until 3: 45pm. Phoned especially to check but nobody answered and message same as website
Its a very helpful place for my recycling materials into my art painting works. I get so excited looking for what I can find, its an experience I am fond of whenever I'm in the area. The staff are friendly and smiling and treat me like the art professional I ams, looking to recycle doilies, bits of machinery and pieces like that i can use to stencil. Here is an example. 100%
Awsome bargains, the loveliest staff ever always smiling and thinking of kind things for our community.
It's a great place to find amazing treasures and the staff are awesome super friendly and I love there make shift gardens
I love pottering about looking at or buying ornaments, clothing shoes boots toys electrical good they've got it all oh, and furniture's. And lovely staff.
Couldn't find bike prices on Trade Me, no description at all
It might be useful to keep a log of bike prices in the shop
I wanted to get a bike yesterday, but was told to look for the price on Trade Me App, which I did try to do
No instructions as to what to look for, Nothing
There's slot of bikes for sale! They really need to keep a log price book of some description
Super friendly staff! Always helped with a smile even when it's busy.
Great place to get bargains and recycled building supplies.
Thanks team!
Great for finding those little knick-knacks and saving money by upcycling rather than buying new
I was charged more for paper and cardboard than it would have cost to buy a rubbish bag and dump it! Every other dump and recycling centre I've been to takes cardboard for free. So much for encouraging recycling! I recommend going elsewhere.
A much-needed facility for our local community, very supportive of the great work their team does!
Sadly can't recommend as they have no set measurement for service in place. What you pay depends on staff - when donating goods to the onsite store there is a good chance you are just gifting staff. We used to take recycling here but they charge for that now. Supposed to be charged by set volume but they have no measurement onsite. Supposed to be supporting Helensville but we won't use their services anymore. Odd outfit.
We used to go to the effort of flattening our cardboard boxes and loading up the car to take them to this recycling centre.but now they charge $8 for us to do this. We simply cannot afford that cost so will either burn the boxes outdoors or pay to dump them in our rubbish. Seriously.we would like to make the effort for the environment - do the 'right thing' but our wallets can't take the hit.
