Thanks to Steve, Anthony and team from Kowhai Western Bay of Plenty. They repaired and painted our decramastic tile roof and painted our fascia. They were very professional with great communication and quality workmanship. They have transformed our tired and dated roof, it now looks fantastic!

Pretty good service. Not 100% sure that anti fungi was added - we were told by sales rep that would be done on day 2 but day 1 was waterblasting and day 2 first coat of paint. Company advertising emphasises 15 year guarantee but this is not mentioned anywhere in their web site and no response when I asked for details.

Tried to book with west Auckland department.
Martin who I talked to couldnt get the booking day or time right the first 3 calls. On the day didnt turn up when supposed to and when called to follow up sounded like he didnt even know he was supposed to come. Asked to call me back and when he did said he had a 'hectic' morning and 'somehow missed my appointment in his diary'. Complete waste of time. Shouldnt need to confirm bookings 3 or 4 times then change again on the day. Incredibly disappointing as kowhai was recommended to me through family. Will be using a different company.

Horrible job. Don’t get near this company. After coat and paint and $3500 later we went from only one leaking tile to 7-8 tiles leaking with water dripping down through the ceiling to the bedroom. Since then we have experienced harassment, being mocked by their staff saying “it’s not our problem you have pinholes in your roof tiles” and getting arguments on why we dared put a feedback here! This is what we received from choosing the expensive “repair” option for some peace of mind.
I have to check every time there’s a light rain to find new leaks we never had before.
We had bedsheets and blanket soaked in water, stressing about it multiple rainy days and nights. With their last visit we had to call the police to get one of their harassing staff out of the property while the other one was politely doing his work.
I deleted my last feedback because they responded, but since then we had to call twice for more leakage and the police incident. After all that their “manager” has the audacity to say “why do you put a bad review, we done a good job”!

Kowhai Coatings (West Auckland) completed the repairs and painting of my mother’s roof. Martin (director) communicated with us throughout the process and the workman came when they say they would. Happy thus far and I’m sure their work will stand the test of time.

Martin and his team based out West Auckland did a fantastic job refurbishing my roof at a competitive price. Would highly recommend to anyone. They delivered faster then expected and kept me informed through the entire process.

Mal and his assistant were great - from start to end they were very professional and everything was done to a very high standard. I was extremely pleased with the end result - in fact my decramastic roof looked so much better than the original roof when it was first done.
I would highly recommend them.

Another franchise model where the experience you get can vary widely depending on which area you live in. Our property is in West Auckland. The “local” kowhai guy Martin Culpan was a nightmare to deal with. Have since heard other stories from friends out west that mirror our experience. Try somewhere else or use with caution.

Our West Auckland Kowhai guy Martin Culpan was a pleasure to deal with. Extremely professional and did a fantastic job. His team of boys were great too and Monique was fantastic, keeping me informed every step of the way. Highly recommend these guys! Thank you!

The new guys now working for the Northland crowd were excellent and did a great job of roof. Very friendly high standard of work and very professional. The guys were excellent. However the office lady Sam Has been appalling to deal with she doesn’t answer emails or return phone calls. Had to ring HO to get hold of owner as no messages were passed on or calls returned. She has now mucked up the invoice and overcharged. She is a liability to the business. If you could deal directly with Paul and the guys the avoid the office the business and experience would be A1

After several interactions with roofers and roof painters - all ending in tears, I was stoked to hit upon Kowhai.
Their guys did a truly awesome job on my decramastic roof and were friendly and helpful to boot.
Nothing was too much trouble as they accommodated the comings and goings of my family and dog!).
Even their General Manager took time out to enquire about the status of our specific job after we inadvertently rang the support office.
We couldnt be more satisfied and highly rate them.

I really recommmend this company having used them several times on my rental properties. The quality of their workmanship is excellent and certainly the jobs still look like new after 3-4 years.
Best of all, I found their customer service excellent, which cant be said of all tradespeople. Thank you Kowhai Guys!
