Little Jimmy

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here last Friday, will be back again. Pork Belly and Beef Short Rib were fabulous and good old fashioned apple crumble delicious. Small mix up with waitress not sure which drink was which. Had a great meal, and we were able to linger longer than allocated 2 hours.

The food was great: lamb ribs were the best we had in Auckland. Wagyu fillet was juicy and tender. Apple crumbles was just right. It had good range of beverage too.

The service was the best: we have been to many restaurants in Auckland yet Little Jimmy was the only place where the waiting staff realised I am a lefty and placed cutlery on the left side for me after I moved them to the left side. The attention to details was beyond my expectation. Well worth a five star.

Don't often leave reviews, but this is the third time we have had a great meal and excellent service at Little Jimmy - so Little Jimmy deserves me taking a few minutes for the review. Really impressive meats, something they do pride themselves on and well deserved. The lamb and ribs we had were as good as it gets. We were also super happy with the desserts - great flavours and nice to see dessert of good proportions. And service is always friendly, knowledgeable and fast.

Great restaurant, really well done.
We got the 5 course chef chooses option and was stoked with the courses that came out, really good value for the quality of the food.
All Food and drink is locally sourced so you get a great drink selection too.

Really nice set up and the service is good. Food is on the pricey side, but it is meant to be fine dining. The sour dough pizzas were unexpectedly Good, really light and crunchy. The dessert was not worth it at all and the reason for reduced stars - apple crumble didn't have a crumble top, it was more like cake and the apples itself seemed to be the type u get from a can, they weren't even cut up so didn't get fully cooked. Stay for dinner, skip dessert!

My partner and I went out for dinner last Sunday and the food here is excellent the gnocchi was AMAZING and I would highly recommend this. My partner had the pork belly which was also delicious, we also decided to share the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream to share and it was Devine.staff were friendly and helpful although I did notice my jacket that was on the chair next to me was wet when I left I think the waitress had accidentally spilt water on it and not said anything I’m glad it was just water. Apart from that we left very full and have an enjoyable meal.

Stopped in for coffee. Place was a bit cold and coffee was just okay. My wife said that there was too much froth on the flat white.

What a fantastic restaurant! The food was easily the most delicious I have had in a very long time, the decor is pleasant and the serving staff friendly and attentive.

Had a really good lunch here. The pork was perfect and the sticky date pudding to die for! Look forward to trying the dinner menu

We booked Little Jimmy on the recommendation of a friend for a dinner party in the upstairs room. We were happy with everything, the set 3 course meal was plentiful and service was great. Kids were able to order off the menu. It did take a little while for our starters platter to arrive though.:)

We've been to Little Jimmys a number of times. This was the first time that we went for lunch. The food is great and the service was excellent. My only minor gripe would be that we booked for 11: 30 which is the time that they open but it seemed that they weren't quite ready for customers and there was a delay with the menu.

This is our local and we love it. Food is always fabulous as is the choices of beverages. All NZ stocked which is fabulous for supporting local. Lots of parking. Always amazing service. Best to book if going after 5pm. Great for families or catching up with friends or colleagues.

One of my all time favourites! The staff are awesome! Always friendly and welcoming which makes it a nice place to be. The food is sensational and it is all based on using Newzealand made produce which is pretty special. Drinks menu is amazing with a wide range. The food menu has an array of options. Highly recommend everything!

Top notch suburban restaurant, the best I've dined at in Auckland. Easy on-street parking nearby, great interior vibe, happy staff.and then you get to the food! Must try the Chef's Special if it's available, 5 courses of great tasting diversity for not a lot. Try it, you'll love it too!

Food was delicious. Physical space was pleasant. Service was friendly, helpful and quick. Only lacking one star (would have made it 1/2 but wont let you do that) because no changing area for our 1 year old grandchild Highly recommend it for delicious food and friendly quick service. The staffs were so nice and let me to stay there for 3 hours as I locked myself out. Thanks guys. Plus nice coffee

Food was great. Service generally good though young woman who took our order either didn't get our requests to the kitchen or the kitchen got it wrong in terms of sequence of food.

This is my second time dining at Little Jimmy's and once again it didn't disappoint. Foods outstanding and it has a great inviting vibrant atmosphere.

We were running late and they still held a table for us. Would recommend to anyone to eat there.

Have been travelling from the Shore to LJ's for the last 5 years now. A regular. Food and Service is always the best, never had a bad experience. Thanks LJ don't change a thing!
