New Brew Bar & Restaurant

After more than two years of going to quiz every Tuesday night at New Brew, I've finally managed to find time to write a review. My husband and I have dinner before quiz each week. The service is always friendly, the food delicious and staff are just lovely. Julian is a fantastic host who is so welcoming. He has high standards of himself and his staff with the expectation to provide the best service, even through the challenges of COVID. On the odd occasion, something has not been 100%, we have let him know and it's instantly fixed! Here's to the next two years (at least) of quizzing and dining at the New Brew.

Guy Asked what I wanted to start with, I said could I please grab a coke and curly fries, but before I could finish he rudely took my menu and walked away, when I said I'm not finished he came back all impatient, I asked for sweet Chilli sauce instead of BBQ he left. I got my Coke, but my chips came out, NOT CURLY FRIES and my sweet Chilli but no aioli. He was in a bad mood so I didn't even bother to mention it.
If you're too understaffed to the point you can't even respect a paying customer, maybe don't open.

Next night I ordered uber eats pizza to my home, chicken and cranberry, oh boy! Don't even bother ordering anything takeaway, tasteless bland inedible! Waste of money.

Since I cannot reply to your reply, No they did not like your service, which is why they asked if you were having a bad day
You arent being truthful, I did not say no for now, I was mid way through my order when you walked away.
Yes covid hit everyone, I also own a business, but every single customer who walks through that door i treat with the upmost respect, you never smiled you never said hello, you weren't nice. You came running over with your Pass scanner though.
Implying that I didn't pay my own bill is totally unacceptable.
Implying they are my friends is also unacceptable.
You should find a different career path, or attend a stress management course.

We have been sevwral times to the New Brew. We have always found Julian the owner to be friendly efficient and on the ball. He even remembered the beer my husband drinks. He’s a great host and we highly recommend the place. Food is also fabulous. Thanks Julian and keep up the great work!

My curly fries were really good and the margarita was amazing on a whole another level! The staff are really nice and friendly!

Just got some more food from the new brew, love the fish and chips with the sauces. Support this wonderful Local pub and resterant thru level 3:)

Take away pizza was amazing and the bottled tap beer is a wonderful idea for lock down. Thanks guy.

The staff there is very rude to Uber deliver drivers
To reply to your comment below, just so you clear again as I’ve made clear to you when I collected the order, I was the second driver to pick up the order. The first driver who accepted the order took too long and eventually canceled it. There’s one of your cooks helping me explain the situation to you but you wouldn’t listen as you are doing now. I will keep my right to leave this review here. You also left a thumbs down to my Uber ear profile which is not true and harmed my Uber delivery status. Feel free to raise any concern to Uber Eat as I will do the same since your attitude and behavior is very unacceptable. I have never met any restaurant owner or staff treat me like this.

Every year I go to the New Brew for my birthday and have never been disappointed. This year was my 70th and I couldn't fault them at all.
The service and management were fantastic and catered to my every need.
Friendly and very professional at all times. Food was excellent and the band on a Friday night was just fabulous, not many bars/restaurants have live music. They cater for all sizes of groups. BEST place on the North Shore.

The performance of Level one live band was so good that makes us come back everytime. I like going to New Brew to relax after a hard day in the office.

We haven’t been for a couple of years, but it is still as good as it always has been. We booked last minute and they were busier than they expected, but that didn’t impact the quality of service, food or timing. Really nice food, good value and such great service with a smile and a laugh. Made us wonder why we’d left it so long to come back!

First time I have been here (not in my neighbourhood) as was for a birthday gathering of around 30 people. Drink prices were about average for wine we tried. Didn't get to order a meal as there were platters served up for guests.
Good sized venue and appeared well laid out and staff were friendly.

This place is amazing - the service exceptional and the food really really good. I have never experienced anywhere that is so accomodating for a large group of people to gather for a celebration and not paying for a private area or set menu. Many of my friends and family commented on the service, locality and the space this bar and restaurant offered. We will definitely be back.
