Northcote Tavern

The Professor and I were invited to Friday lunch at the Tavern. It was a spectacular day walking into the enterprise a bit earlier than scheduled. A busy lunch time trade was happening but there were no queues at the bar where we were attended to quickly and cheerfully. We took in the ambiance over an unhurried beer.
Our luncheon participants arrived, were quickly supplied with drinks from the bar tender and settled unmolested to catch up. Eventually I and the other male participants were dispatched to the kitchen to place our food order. No problem with the Professors exchange chips for salad requirement then we were back at the table discussing righting wrongs. Food came out all but one. The time the food was on the table seemed interminable but it was probably only a few minutes. Once we tucked in the food had maintained temperature and was delicious. The Professor thought more spice and thickness in the sauce but concluded its level of spice was about right for most people. Extra spicy option could be the answer.
Apparently the enterprise had won and an award for it's offerings that day. I think the award was deserved.

We held our family Christmas party this year at the tavern. There were 22 of us! The staff and management were fantastic and shifted tables and chairs about when we arrived so we could all sit in a line. The food was delicious and huge meals. The bar staff very attentive to our needs.
We're planning to come again next year!

Always love coming here when the weather is good. The little ones enjoy running around the large fenced off grassy area while we eat at one of the many picnic tables.

Great pub! Love the Scottish theme inside and great grass area outside. The food is delicious.

Loved going bk after an easy 20years. Lovely hospitality. Great bunch. Food beer and a stunning location.

It was a great atmosphere on a summer's evening at the end of the week. Had the feeling of an old English pub with a great beer garden and umbrellas. Great menu, lovely food. A very local friendly community feel. We will go again.

Nice atmosphere good food great prices alot of out door seating abit of a hassle to order as you have to walk through gaming room

My boss introduced me to this gem and I feel in love with it's cozy charm. The food was great, drinks not too expensive and the decor reminded me of my grandparents' home.

Rounding it out were the friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Comfortable and economical although menu prices have increased - would like more items around $18-25 range. Need more vegetarian options

Quiet little local pub when I was there not many people but I can see the potential for a very busy pub on the weekends! Nice place!

Plenty of variety, indoor outdoor and various dinning locations. Good selection of beer and wine. Handy spot if you're living that side of the bridge

This has to be the best Sunday Roast that I've had since i left the UK 19 years ago, a close second to the wife's cooking.
If you want to add an extra Yorkshire pudding no worries just ask when you order

I’ve order Black Tiger Prawn and that’s what I got.and when I went to ask why they don’t serve what is in the menu.they actually told me that this is actually Black Tiger Prawn.well no comments. I don’t recommend this place
