Whilst each of the individual tradesmen did a great job, the estimator left off substantial parts that required repair, forcing me to request a loss adjustor from the insurance company to review his work and correct the scope. Then repeatedly the tradesmen were instructed by Northstar to do less than the loss adjuster specified. It took four months for them to complete a straightforward repair. During the reinstatement I was obliged to repeatedly call the insurance company to force Northstar to reinstate as per the scope of works.
I would not recommend NorthStar if you are suffering a loss due to a damage in your house. Our home damage due to a leak was assigned to be assessed and repaired by them under an insurance claim. Their assessment report was later disputed and insurance successfully for us sorted that out. Then It took them 3 weeks! To prepare a scope of work that eventually included a lack of listed work tasks. Then loss adjuster stepped in to sort their mistakes. Finally decision was made to look for other repairers.
Very lovely people on the phone and in person.
Good sense of humour and great outcome.

9 out of 10 people who had Northstar group handling their insurance job, are still frustrated today about the companies communication skills (none) problem solving and organizing the tradesmen.
Be aware.
Not a good company to deal with at all I had many problems! Very disappointed! Left me with a big problem & refused to fix it!
Do not recommend. Very bad service - it took over 6 months to install a shed. Used by AMI insurance. Avoid
We had a major insurrance claim and this company used sub contractors who basically gave us nothing headaces for over 6 months. The painting was shocking with no masking and they even painted around sun chairs over electrical cables, left massive holes in the middle of doors and the list goes on.
I have kept a very detailed log and heaps of photos which when I show my friends; they say that it looks like something a very small child would do. Same I cant show them here. People need to be warned.
Hello Ken. I just saw you reply. Well considering that there was no alert to advise me of same and the fact that a Mr Paul Huggins could not be bothered to turn up when requested by both myself and IAG, I don't see any advantage in having another meeting this late. Because I've had no apology and for all the pain that both myself and my wife went through, I will use all the correspence and photos to warn the public.
Tried to deal with them on insurance claim. Totally unresponsive and quite rude on the phone. Have requested insurer provide another company. I will never use them.
