If you like noisy go at busy times! As another advised look like small servings but very filling. And unless you like to be on fire don't go beyond medium.
Corn bread good; waffles great. Must have is side of fried pickles. Big gherkin quarters, battered & fried. Excellent

Super friendly staff, I first visited their OG store few years ago when the hours and menu were limited, so cool to see how well they've done for themselves; the bigger store and menu and increased hours/availability

Delicious crispy waffles with garlic butter and crispy fried chicken and syrup on the side. Looked small when it came but I was stuffed and satisfied at the end of it. The place seems to be always busy but our food still came quite fast as we got boneless chicken.

Came here with colleagues for a dinner and it’s great! I ordered big white plate (2 breast + 2 wings + chips) omg it’s a lot! I was so full lol. Medium spicy is acceptable and you want to think twice if you order spicier options lol

Soo yummy, pickles were just what i needed. Did need some air conditioning had chicken and biscuits medium heat and if you dont like spicyness definitely get a lower spice level, but i loved it and been wanting to try for years

Tried a few fried chicken joints and honestly this place blows every single one out of the water. Never had such a succulent burger and of a very generous portion. Bang on the money! Great staff also which is a bonus.

I have been to quite a few chicken places and this one really knows how to cook HOT SPICY chicken without making it salty too much. I give you all my stars!

Food is awesome but forget trying to order takeaways unless they enable online ordering again. 40min wait and you have to order via a kiosk which doesn't ask for your phone number to txt you when ready, and didn't read paywave from my watch (none of which would have been a problem with online ordering).

This has got to be the best fried chicken in Auckland. The spice levels are pretty inconsistent so if you can’t handle heat, get the lowest option. Medium sometimes will creep up on you. Holy cluck wasn’t worth the pain the next day lol.
I’d recommend trying sides other than fries because they’re so good! Hash brown bake and Mac and cheese are delicious

Had the baller burger (holy cluck) and big dark (medium) with gravy and biscuit. The burger wasn't too spicy despite being the spiciest level, so i recommend giving it a go anyways. The burger was pretty good with a lotta chicken and I liked the gravy.

Hot diggity damn, that's some of the most delicious chicken I've -ever- eaten. Chicken and waffles situation was phenomenal but oh lawdy, was that chicken just absolute fire!

Service was really friendly and the food was fresh and hot! Also, no where else has a nick cage shrine in the bathroom. 10/10

The food was cooked well, the texture of the chicken skin was good but on the other side everything was quite bland. Great ambiance and friendly staff

The food here is incredible and so tasty. Eaten here many times and done plenty of takeaways too. Burgers are next level and the sides are the perfect accompaniment. Definitely comfort food. Big fan of The O. G.and for side quite enjoy the Pimento Max & Cheese along with the Jalapeño Cheese Balls.

Food fantasy come true. I had chicken Waffles with medium spice. Very very good. Staff service was great.engaging and thus felt very welcoming Loved the music selection and sound system was cool. I'd love to be in there myself with no one talking and the system pumped up. The tasty food was enough to make me want to dance though. Also had mac n cheese, chips, Coleslaw, potatoes n gravy sides. Try mixing mac n cheese with the fries I felt like I was having another relationship and i was cheating on my main dish. Definitely coming back! Well worth it. Just a shame all the dessert menu options weren't available. Even more reason to come back! Otherwise 11 out of 10 from me

OMG. I seen the reviews were good but wow! Might be my favourite fried chicken joint in Auckland. The food was top notch. Chicken was crunchy and juicy, so tasty but the winner for me was those sides! Delicious Mac and cheese, and idk what was in that hash brown bake but I’m still thinking about it hours later. Awesome atmosphere and great service. 10/10 would recommend and will be coming again to try everything else

Something to tell your friends about! We've tried many dishes on the menu, order whatever takes your fancy, you won't be disappointed.

I've seen this place for years now, and despite reading a lot of positive reviews, I hadn't gotten around to trying it. Well, recently I did and I was not disappointed. First off, I really like the ambiance and interior of the restaurant. It's way nicer here than any of the other local restaurants. The staff is friendly and there are several good choices on the menu. Though a word of caution. I had the medium and it was almost too much for me. It was really good, but really spicy (next time I'll have something a bit less). If you like chicken this is definitely a place you need to try!

Arrived at 2pm on a sunday and the restaurant was packed, greeted instantly by a friendly staff member, seated outside and turned the heater on.
Sweet zesty pickles spot on and moreish garnished with half a pickled habanero? Or ghost pepper. (bit shy to bite into it)
Mac and cheese was full flavored and cheesy with a hint of spice not heavy.
Chicken skin was fantastic crispy and a taste explosion, juicy and moist, wished I ordered the gravy to dip my chicken, good reason to try more chicken next time, I ordered lil dark one thigh and drum stick, seasoned HOT, as I had already had yum cha at 1pm, definitely could have eaten more VERY DELICIOUS, not outrageously hot very edible, spicy was not overpowering and slight a sweetness.
