Purchased overhead kitchen cabinets from this company. Cannot fault the excellent service from Andy and the team. Responsive, helpful and professional in all communications. Items were produced exactly as requested and in a timely manner. Other companies, by comparison could learn alot from their example. Would not hesitate to recommend or return in the future. Keep up the great work guys!

The lady manager on saturday needs to learn how to talk to customers, it seemed that she was in hurry to sell the products and i need a smaller side toe kick but without informing me about the full length she sold me a full 2metre toe kick, very unusual experience, i have been going here for so long but that saturday lady manager needs to do extra bit of customer training.very pricy, will not recommend.

Ordered Peter Hay Laundry cabinetry through Placemakers. Units have scratching on most of the edges and the clashing that came with the benchtop had what looks like black vivid and scratches all over it, so unusable. There are little staples sticking out of bottom of overhead cabinet base. Poor quality and poorly assembled. Would not recommend.

A great furniture factory shop, and not just kitchen furnitures, also bedroom and laundry furniture and cabinets. Their prices are very reasonable, and staff members are very friendly. You can get one that's still in the box and assemble it yourself, or you can get one that's already been assembled.

Manurewa, where we met Irene. Irene the designer was amazing from start to finishing, she was so nice to work with nothing was to much trouble for her.
The kitchen was delivered on time the fitters did
an outstanding job they worked so hard to complete it before Christmas 2020 as promised.
The stone work tops are very impressive. After the Christmas break Siva arrived to check everything was finished off to a high standard he was very attentive, polite and helpful, a really good guy.

I don't even want to give them a 1star rating. DREADFUL. Cheap and nasty experience with a hefty price tag. 6 MONTHS and STILL WAITING for it to be finished! Luscious showroom which DOES NOT reflect the quality of the units. What you see in the showroom is not what you get - it's poorly made, coming apart at joins so not fit for purpose. Chips to board on nearly every shelf and unit, so does not reflect the look or finish. When they turn up or should I say if they turn up it's carelessly installed - cabinetry has been hacked with saw and they've dented brand new fridge, flooring and smashed the gate as they left the property. Installers created more issues than they resolved. It was embarrassing. Communication was shocking, the only time they are attentive is during the design phase when they want 50% on acceptance and the other 50% prior to delivery which removes any leverage.
Find it interesting that Steve Chaney the boss is posting "easy to deal with.helpful" to raise the company rating. It demonstrates the morality of the company.

I had a small problem with my four year old kitchen. They sorted it in an efficient and friendly manner.

Bought a kitchen several years ago and it fitted perfectly. Hassle free and it still looks as new seven years later. Through my own fault I recently needed a pair of corner hinges. Company (through Helen) only to happy to help and received hinges after only a few days. Excellent customer service and care from Helen and fully recommend this company.

We came across Peter Hay Kitchens online, they seemed like a great option, and it turned out to be true. We designed our own kitchen and with the help of Karl, for some fine tuning from his years of experience, our made-to-measure units fit like a dream resulting in the most awesome kitchen we could ever imagine. We ordered our cabinets online and they were more than what we expected. There was excellence service from Karl, as he helped us with our planning, colour, size and how to fit everything in perfectly.
We received our cabinets assembled in careful packing with no damage at all and all we had to do is install them.
The cupboards were made from strong, durable material with soft closing and they look fantastic when they are installed.

After visiting a few different show rooms, we decided to go with Peter Hay Kitchen’s for a full kitchen and laundry replacement as part of a complete house renovation project. We found Karl to be very helpful with our understanding of the design, manufacture and install processes and challenges that we had ahead (we were starting our renovations the day after settlement and only had limited access to the property beforehand for measurements etc, we had a tight timeframe for the entire project including Christmas shut downs in the middle and a baby due end of January!). While an “online” order, we were still able to visit the show room and sit down to discuss ideas, features, colours, styles, sizes etc. It was really beneficial to be challenged on different aspects during the design phase and Karl was great at explaining the reality (or impracticality) of having things a certain way and also really knows his stuff. The cabinets arrived fully assembled and on time, which given it was two days before Christmas shutdown was impressive given the other delays we experienced from other suppliers. We did have one cabinet that was unfortunately damaged slightly in transit, however this was replaced quickly without any issues. We arranged our own install and bench top but Karl was only too happy to provide recommendations and assist with contacting suppliers to make this easy. We are really happy with the end product and have continue to receive great feedback from everyone who has visited since.

We have purchased two online kitchens through Peter Hay in the past 18 months.
We found the site as straight forward to use as is possible considering the choices that are available in size, colours etc.and when we made an oops missing something off our order, they were so helpful at adding it on to join the delivery.
There was even a bonus of my partner and I improving our communication skills while discussing our choices.we did it twice so it can’t be too bad:).
We thoroughly recommend both the process and the product.and wouldn’t hesitate to use Peter Hay again.

We absolutely love our Peter Hay Kitchen.
I ordered online so i was a little apprehensive until the units arrived. All assembled with beautiful soft close doors and drawers. The units were well packaged no damages in transit and looked far better than expected.
We would recommend Peter Hay kitchens to all on price quality, appearance, style and service.

My plumber recommended going to Peter Hay as he has been dealing with them for a ling time and found them to have good quality and at reasonable prices.

I purchased a laundry cabinet on line and picked up from the factory. While there we looked in at the factory shop and saw the very large range that they have there. Subsequently purchased a set of bathroom cabinets. The store supervisor said that if we had anything special we wanted they could possibly look at manufacture.

From this information we contacted Karl the online manager and had a wall closet made to our dimensions and materials. They do not do installations so I did it myself. It came in kit set form as there was no room to move a built up unit in. Fitting was perfect and exactly matched the existing cabinetry.

Next I ordered online a special bookcase/divider custom made with the materials we wanted from our outline drawings. Quality was excellent at a good price. Secure local packaging. Allow delivery about 1 month. Made prepayment on line with credit card in all cases. They contacted me by email when ready to pick up. Helpful staff with good attitude.

Excellent service. I sent through a sketch up of what I wanted for my new laundry and Karl suggested ways to improve this, and ensured all cabinets that were ordered fit the space perfectly, allowing for voids etc. Install was easy and the result was exactly what I was after.

When I was looking for a kitchen two friends recommended Peter Hay.
So to “test the water” for my kitchen I ordered a laundry. Whilst still building/renovating.
All the “blokes” working on site were impressed with the cabinetry the materials are of good quality and the absolute bonus they come assembled.

The helpfulness from Karl in particular to me, not being a professional ordering and designing a laundry first off then office units and finally the kitchen was exemplary.

My husband and I as you would expect had disagreements about the design.
The kitchen has been fully functional a month now and everyday he says I love this kitchen. You did a great job.

While we were installing the kitchen over a weekend we had a miscommunication about something in the design and nothing was a problem I text Karl we fixed it together over the phone the new panel arrived a week later.
I would not hesitate to order another or recommend to anyone I know.

Went through PeterHay directly, and offered very sensible and practical advice on design choices. The price of the kitchen was excellent, considering the use of Blum hardware etc as standard. Exact same meltecca laser edge finish cabinets quoted elsewhere was 10k more. I choose to organize my own installer, he was fantastic. I also went direct to a bench top company to save more money. One problem we did have was the end panels are supplied cut to exact size. Our floor was not level, so I needed to get one of these replaced so it fitted to the unlevel floor. If you area renovating order these oversize and your installer will scribe them to the floor and cut them perfectly on site. It wasn't a problem to replace it though, I can't recall if I was charged for the replacement panel, but it would have only been around $50. I plan on using them again for my laundry and another small kitchen. I recommended them to my sister as well, as she was also replacing her kitchen around the same time. I got the plans they had drawn through another company quoted, and they saved more than 10k on the kitchen. She used them too. They are very pleased with the results. They also had problems with the end panels length.

Rip off - if they stuff up your order, they charge an exorbitant price to supply the missing bits. 1 star is over the top, for quality, 0 stars

Ordered through Placemakers - staff should not be selling kitchens as they have no idea what they are doing. Never ending problems. Forgot to order housing unit for F/F and D/W! So half kitchen installed for a month. Beautiful kitchen but terrible installation. I would never recommend. Terrible experience and really stressful.
