The most incredibly helpful bathroom team. They completely understood my requirements and offered loads of really helpful suggestions

Do not purchase a wardrobe through Placemakers.

After a 3 month process we had to be refunded and have our walls replaced due to the quality of product and workmanship from their subcontractor Cowdroy.

During this process we had to constantly call and chase about the product and installation issues we were having as neither Cowdroy or Placemakers would take ownership of their mistakes of which we gave them ample opportunities to come back and fix the issues to further damage.

Side note: Lamia if consumers purchase products, have a contract and pay Placemakers directly don't tell me it's not Placemakers problem especially straight after Placemakers and Cowdroy fail to show up to our house for a scheduled appointment to look at the damage you had both caused.

Checked on website said store was open at 7 am got there at 7.41, yard entrance locked and not a soul around,

Very helpful shop assistant. Found what I was looking for, and he provided the quote costing.

The bathroom, kitchen and wardrobe area has everything your need to plan the above areas in you house. The staff are very professional and friendly.

Staff here are so rude couldn't be bothered looking after us or answering any questions won't be back

As a DIY you don't always know the pitfalls you can run into. Here at Placemakers, they take the time and explain what you need for your project and point out things you may have not considered. Great customer service) 5 Stars

Ian did an outstanding job with customer service at the checkout and deserves to be acknowledged as the only person worthy of employment at this branch, well done Ian. The rest of the staff must be confused with the difference of being on holiday or at work because they seemed out to lunch and social life was priority over decent service. The management team must be blind. Not recommended at all.

They didn't have what I wanted, the guy checked if any of the other stores had it. Eventually, had to order it in to be delivered to a smaller store closer to me. I went there first coz they're a big store. That guy, the one that helped me.farkin awesome!

We had issues with a concrete delivery ordered through Placemakers Wairau Park.

I dealt with Fiona and Karl regarding this job pertaining to our property, and both of their service was unbelievably rude.

Fiona was abrupt and extremely rude, and failed to return all calls and messages after saying she would come back to me.

I followed up on another occasion with Karl who was also very short and unhelpful on the phone, and wouldn't provide any information as requested regarding the concrete invoice and MPa strength of the concrete.

They didn't manage the issue well at all and were extremely rude. The issues could have been dealt with very simply but both employees were unhelpful and made the issues so much worse.

Overall terrible service and super disappointing.

I needed a bathroom mirror to finish a total hours remodel, these guys were the only place outta 6 that had what I wanted.

- signages clear and visible
- clear clean aisles
- Staff awesome! Helpful and really knowledgeable. Desk staff may have been a little grumpy that arvo but overall all the other staff were a delight
- The loo was clean and the hand wash oml oml THE BEST!
I really enjoyed my time there returning the trailer to the back and waltzing in to see the bathroom kitchenware etc showrooms.

Friendly, clean, organized, has large selection of tools etc, priced same as other outlets, your not paying to much, nice experience

I visit several PlaceMakers around Auckland and the Wairau branch is far superior for prompt and friendly service.

I bought lawn mower from this place last year hardly used it 5 times. Taken for repair 3 times today was the third time. Manager Bob is such a cold person.no apology from placemaker staff. Bob kept saying they will call the supplier and find out what they can do, this was exactly said to me by Alex when I took the lawnmower second time. Do placemaker understand they give me receipt under there logo so I have contract with placemakers not the manufacturer. Just refund my money and keep your lawn mower. It takes me 1 hr drive to get to this place. Never ever going to buy any thing from your store. Hopeless Manager

More set up for trades people so not so retail customer orientated with DIY advice limited compared to Bunnings or Mitre 10. However good kitchen and bathroom displays.
