Over priced and very limited range. Incredible mark-ups any DIY becomes impossible buying here. Shocking if these prices even with preferred supplier agreements and volume discounts are passed on to new builds.

They just had a renovation so all looks nice and neat. Service was good as I had some questions answered. My most annoying thing was to find things as the signs above the isles have the text vertical aligned, which is difficult to read especially if you come into the store looking at the left isles!

This store is situated in the wrong place. It is in the middle of a consumer shopping area in Wairau Park but the store caters more for tradespeople than consumer DIY customers and rarely has many customers in the store. I expect it to be competitive with Mitre 10 Mega and Bunnings but it really doesn't compete in this area.

I love Placemakers great staff clean well priced goods and did I mention really helpful staff the best.

BEWARE - DO NOT BUY KITCHEN FROM THEM! Waited an extra 3 weeks for bench top to arrive. It then turned up with the wrong sink in it. They told us it was our fault and nothing they could do. Worse customer service I have ever experienced. I will never shop there again.

These guys are great and I enjoy going there. Was looking for timber in the yard a few times in recent days and I was thankful and impressed with the friendly helpful advice I received. Then the guys on the Trade checkout desk are always equally great - and I'm not a tradie - just a DIY guy.

The imaging are 5-6 years old and not up to date with the new locations at less with in the last two years

Please would you update your website regarding your trading hours. I drove all the way from Devonport, 29/09/11, to purchase a specific item knowing I had time in hand (website advised trading hours were 7am - 6pm week days) only to be told that the store was closing in 5 minutes. The store closed at 5.30pm during week days. Thank you

Terrible, took forever to get my products in after I paid over $4000 in bathroom parts. Can NEVER get through to them on the phone - simply no answer. Won't ever use them again.

Automated phone systems are crap, have you checked how many hang ups you get? It is all lost business. Today I contacted Mitre 10, Bunnings and Placemakers, but I almost hung up when I got your automated telephone system but the chap who answered my queries at your store had excellent product knowledge and advice.

I think you would do far better to have a real person on the end of the phone like your competitors. Well done your man, he is the sort of person needed to keep people coming to your store.
