Ray White Howick

If you are looking for a property manager, definately go elsewhere. We had Martin Caie neglect to pay bills, and left the house empty for several months before checking in with us regarding renovations. Also, he attempted to charge a substantial fee for work done that he had not organised. He stricks me as lazy, irresponsible, and cognitively lacking. I wish someone had warned us before trusting him with the keys to our home.

Team Anton Vish Arora has recently sold four rental properties for me. I am very impressed with his competence, market knowledge, professionalism, great communication skills and his "no problems only solutions" attitude. Would not hesitate to recommend Vish to anyone and no doubt will use his services again myself.

If only there was an option for zero stars.

An absolutely awful experience with this branch of Ray White and its rental divison. Two particular agents (Cathy and Steven) were a nightmare to liaise with when searching for a rental property. It got to the point I avoided any listings held by Ray White.

Texts and emails were never responded to. The automated enquiry system of messaging was confusing as sent random texts for viewings that had passed. (I suspect activated by the said agents in error). I even had to ring the branch to ask about progress of our application, after over 2 weeks of no contact. At the time, the receptionist even admitted it was hard to get a hold of the agent I was trying to track down. Fed up I emailed the branch manager who was prompt with a response and apologized for the experience. This resulted in a short email the next day from the said agent saying our app was not successful. But wait, the palava continues, I receive a notification a few days later to book a viewing for the property I was unsuccessful for. All I can say to these two agents is, don't take on so many listings if you are unable to manage them adequately.

Other failings include not knowing information about the properties when asked questions at the viewing and in general was made to feel like an inconvenience.

I'm sure the whole branch doesn't display this level of incompetence but from this Mickey Mouse experience I am definitely taking our business elsewhere.

Happy ending - We seriously dodged a bullet after reading other scathing reviews and we actually found a fantastic agent from a competing agency. Barfoot and Thompson (Manurewa branch) are the total opposite to Ray White Howick. Ensuring we were well informed with every step of the application process, knowledgeable in their listings and eventually found us our perfect home.

Tony and Anton were fantastic to deal with. Great team that we would not hesitate use again. Two of the kindest, politest men to deal with and incredibly hard working given the issues we had with our property. Still came up with a fantastic result for us. Thank you!

We have lived in an absolute nightmare at Griggs Road, East tamaki and the owner was well aware of all the issues but nothing has ever been done. We paid our rent on time, passed each inspection but Cathy who was the property manager never took the time to reply or get back to us regarding serious issues at the property which we had to live in for almost two years. I will never deal with Raywhite Howick ever again and thank god I don't have to any longer as we moved. Cathy is incompetent and doesn't do her job. The branch manager has been well aware of all the issues as I have cc'd him in on all the emails but never received one call from him. We recently successfully auctioned our home thru Ray White Howicks agent Paula Ching. As you can imagine selling our family home after 35 years has been quite stressful however Paula and Ray White staff have considerably reduced the stress. They have been very professional, friendly and helpful thru the whole process Paula kept us fully informed about all aspects especially with feedback from open home viewings etc. We would have no hesitation in recommending Ray White and Paula Ching who achieved a successful outcome for us.
