Rubbish Direct

One of their employees damaged a car I was borrowing from a friend while visiting NZ on vacation. It took a while to track them down and in the meantime my wife had got it fixed for $400. The company admitted fault but the customer service people refused to pay without full details of the owner, and a receipt. We didn't have the latter and wouldn't give the former, since we don't want our friends to know about it. I contacted them several times to escalate this and it took a.long time before I got through to someone in real authority. However, when I did, he gave full payment very quickly. General advice: standard customer service employees don't have ability or authority to do anything nonstandard, and may well be replaced by robots soon, so try to get through to the boss!

We have used Rubbish Direct for 8+ years and have always been very pleased with their service

They do collect on time including public holidays.

Residential collection is nearly 3 times more than other companies. Just be careful when they send quote as it's per collection not per month.

These guys are dead set useless. Called to get a simple rubbish bin for home. No response. Called another 2 times answered the same questions. Still have no received any price to my email. Unprofessional. We use this bunch for are 30 odd bins in commercial premise in stanmore bay.will be switching providers. If you want customer service. Don't go here

OUTRAGEOUS. Your driver on Saturday morning 18 Dec 2021 at 10: 45am (REG: GWL73) driving on the footpath outside our blocks at the Lower Greys Avenue Apartments here in Auckland City. There are concealed entrances to some of the blocks with steps where you cannot see left or right until you step out onto the footpath. This clown had no hazard lights on, no motion beeps + carelessly careening up & down the footpath to the 3 Refuse Rooms at each entrance. We have small children & pets that live in these blocks. The footpath is NOT a road. I have forwarded this complaint to Auckland Council/Transport & Kainga Ora management. THIS IS NOT OK RUBBISH DIRECT.

They always wave Hello upon arrival & place our bins back tidily once emptied – this is very much appreciated when bins are in full view of our Guests.

Almost run over by not one but two rubbish direct trucks this morning - terrible driver behaviour, cutting corners and not giving way to pedestrians. This sort of dangerous driving is something I’ve observed from this company before - they frequently collect rubbish from my condo. You guys should be ashamed of having untrained drivers in your vehicles.

It appeared that the rubbish truck left a trail of debris from Hohipere St to Symonds St and Khyber Pass Rd that I had to pick up Friday morning in the light rain.

Rubbish Direct do a super job! We needed some replacement bins as ours had developed broken lids. They were due to come and do regular collection on Friday last week and I thought they could exchange bins then, but they made a special trip to bring replacement bins on Thursday, emptied our rubbish then BUT they ALSO returned on regular bin day Friday and emptied them again. What a great team, thanks!

Rubbish Direct trucks are noisy and they start collecting rubbish before 5am each morning especially in apartments which is against Auckland City Council rules. This loud noise of broken class bottles tipping into a truck at 4.45am wakes you in a fright. Not only does this affected the building of people; it affects the whole street. When the drivers are asked why are they breaking Auckland City Council the rules, the drivers' responses are because all trucks do it. Please educate your staff that the loud rubbish can not be collected prior to 6am. If you are not sure about these rules, please call Auckland City Council. A video of your trucks has been sent to them as this is accurs ever second day.
