Sen Vietnamese Kitchen & Bar reviews
81 Have been to Sen 3 times in the last month for lunch and dinner, with a small.and large group. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service each time. We were there when it was both busy and not busy and received the same quality of food and service.
The food is fresh and tasty, served within a reasonable time after ordering. Nice environment and can cater for small to large groups. I recommend this place if you like Vietnamese
I visited the place with my school mates. Overall, this restaurant provides excellent quality of foods & services. All staff are friendly, the interior is beautiful, floor is clean & tidy, and more than anything, foods are very awesome. I ordered beef curry and my friends had pho, spring rolls, summer rolls, etc, and we were so satisfied with all of them! Big thanks to Sen for the great experience, and I will definitely come back with accompany soon again:)
Very average food. All the dishes we had were drowned in kind of bland sauce sauce with nothing too special about them. In no way authentic at all.
Went for dinner. Food was very very average given the price. Portions were small. For five of us, the waiter assured us that a main per person was plenty. Maybe if we were five children, which we were not. There are much better Vietnamese restaurants out there. The only thing going for it was the atmosphere. Too bad you can't taste or get full on that.
Good response to amending reservation for additional people including a child on a Saturday night, however table could have been better as for 4 adults and child we got 2x round tables, which meant some of the food were awkwardly placed at the crack. Slow service due to large party arriving roughly same time, but waitress informed us of this and apologized ahead of time for any delays in food and drink. Starters are delicious to share, or can even have as mains like tapas style. Mains were vibrant and full of flavour, make sure to get a bowl of rice to accompany this. Really surprised with the prawn dish with the sweetness coming from fruit being added - would get again. Cosy atmosphere with lighting and decor.
Friendly and accommodating staff, the food was sensational. I had a small chicken Pho and the shaking beef… I’lldefinitely be back.
This was a nice place to stop in before going to the Project. The food and prices were pretty good. Great service too!
Fantastic food and services; I thoroughly recommend it if you want to try authentic Vietnamese food
Food is great, but it has parking around the area, currently road works along Normanby Road and Boston Road, and on the day I visited it has rugby match at Auckland Grammar School.
Stopped in for lunch, we had the bánh xèo, bún chả, and fried rolls. It was all very well presented and tasty. I'll definitely be back!
When we were at sen, it was an joyful experience for everybody. But the reason i have a star rating of four is because they were not prepared for our group, in their defence we were early.great time great food and great experience overall
Best Vietnamese restaurant ever! Both Beef cheek curry and melt-in-you-mouth pork belly are my favourite dish! 100% recommend.
After reading the positive reviews I’m quite surprised. Disinterested staff member, food quite bland and all just nothing like what I experienced in Vietnam or at other Vietnamese restaurants in Auckland.
Aesthetically pleasing little restaurant, food reasonably priced but not discounted on taste, loved their melted in mouth pork belly dish, warm and friendly customer service.
We had lunch here. Food is authentic and prices are reasonable. Spring rolls were so good that we ordered twice.
Awesome staff, food and venue. Everything is great. I’ve been coming here 3+ time a week for 6 months. Bo is a legend. A must for those that enjoy Vietnamese
Service was prompt and friendly and food was delicious. Can recommend the salads, the squid and the spring rolls. Would go back.
Very friendly staff and the food was soooo good. Me and my boyfriend got a few things to share and I can honestly say I loved every dish!
Lovely food. The spring rolls are really good. Filling isn't too dense and the wrapper isn't overcooked. Easy to eat. The beef pho is very good the broth is the sweetest and mildest I have tasted (was given chilli and lemon on the side). Had a few other dishes, all good too. The chef's here know what they are doing, and the prices are very good for the area. Happy to have discovered. I will be back!
My partner and I just finished eating at this place and we were blown away.
The place itself is nice and gives off a warm vibe!
But the meals… Omg.
My partner had a chicken pho for $16 and I had the fried lemongrass with rice for $18 - both big enough and tasty meals!
Along side our mains we also had a lemongrass pork skewer which was BOMB! And we had some lemon grass chicken summer rolls and again BOMB AF! The sauces that came with them complimented the bites so well! It was so delicious!
The food is very affordable, altogether for my partner and I, we had 2 mains, 2 small sides and 1 drink which came to $54
We will defs be back here again!
