Sen Vietnamese Kitchen & Bar

The place was nice and the food was delicious. Went there with a group of 4 and we ordered varieties of dish and we were satisfied them. The only problem was finding parking space on the side of the road but, the restaurant itself was good.

This really is a little bit of Hanoi in the middle of Auckland. The atmosphere is intriguingly different and took me back to my trip through Vietnam.

The staff were friendly, welcoming and just attentive enough.

The menu has variety and for good reasons it took a while to make a choice.

All our meals were beautifully presented, well cooked and tasty.

It was a lovely evening and as we were staying in the Mt Eden area the short evening walk was well rewarded.

The building and atmosphere at Sen are amazing. Lovely brick walls lit by warm lights create a cozy atmosphere. The food was middle of the road with the eggplant dish being the highlight. The pho was quite good, but not the best I’ve had in Auckland. Definitely a good date night spot, but book in advanced to get a second floor table.

We had the caramelized pork belly, prawns, shaking beef, beef noodle soup and the spring rolls. The best was the beef noodle soup and would recommend getting exactly what we ordered. The servers are very kind and the best part was the theme with a nice ombience making it really nice a cozy. Definitely recommend coming here one night.

Delicious, fresh, tasty food. Excellent service. The pho and Vietnamese coffees were a standout. Thanks Sen! Will def be back.

Sen is located in an interesting renovated building over two levels. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Although one wore his mask under his nose even after two years of pandemic training. Our party of 4 sat in a booth with 4 booth bench seats and one standard chair around the table. I started using one of the booth chairs next to my wife but found it very deep so you had to sit forward and soon my back was aching so I swapped to the lone chair which I found much more comfortable. The first round of tasting plates were exceptional and provided a mix of variety and intriguing taste. The mains however were a bit underwhelming in comparison. Some were nice but we should have stuck to more of the small plates and dropped the mains.

Screw the road closures. Get to this place. Bo the owner apparently is the best server you can get. Went here for a Monday lunch and drinks with a few business associates. Definitely the place to go.

First time being here and I loved the food. I had the pork belly with rice and it was to die for! The pork melt in your mouth and it's so flavourful. I could have easily finish the whole plate of rice and all the salad. The service was good and the price is reasonable, I'm going to tell my friends about this place

Great service and food came pretty but not too quickly. Flavours were great but a few more and diverse vegetarian options would be good to see. Will definitely come again.

Very nice, large, stylish modern Vietnamese restaurant with friendly, efficient service, great drinks options and a comprehensive menu with everything from quick snacks to substantial meals.

Definitely one of the best modern vietnamese places in Auckland.

My partner treated me to dinner at Sen last night.
The service is wonderful, the staff are all very kind and their lead waitress is very attentive! She explained the whole menu to us, pointing out Vietnamese favorites and staple dishes for us!

The food was Crazy! You must try the Nem Lui (pork skewers) they are cooked on a lemongrass stalk that gives you a little spritz of flavour every time you bite!
We also had the summer rolls and spring rolls. Both of which were so fragrant and came with a variety of dipping sauces. Try the summer roll with the hoison sauce! So good! Our waitress even went the extra mile to set our entrees up as a sharing platter since we were on a date!

My partner order the Bo Cari. A bright beef curry. The sauce was nice and thick and the flavour kind creeps up on you. Many layers to the sauce. And nice soft veges to accompany! Decent portions

I ordered the Ca Sot Man. A Tarakihi fish With a sweet plum sauce base. There were veges on the plate but the fish sings by itself. The sauce is a little sweet, a little sour, but all round so much flavour! Great portion size also! And not too heavy

Add on a Vina colada (a kinda fizzy pinacolada) and your night will be made.

Everything is delicious! This is the first restaurant where I’ve genuinely wanted to try every single item on the menu. I’m working my way through it and have yet to be disappointed. Make sure you try one of the starters and leave room for the crème brûlée. It’s quite a unique space too- exposed rafters and very spacious. Also, nearly every item on the menu is gluten free. The staff are friendly and the service is quick.

It’s a neat restaurant, friendly staff and good food. The spring rolls were delicious with the fresh ingredients. The fried squid with salted egg yolk & stir fried beef is recommended.

Great Gluten Free options. Excellent food. Good service. The environment might be unexpected for a Vietnamese restaurant, but it works.
Try the pork belly. Soft and delicious! Such comfort food. Even on a really hot summer day. Just make sure you pair it with some of the amazing salad offerings.
Only minus: they need to clean the glass railings on the mezzanine.

I ordered 3 starters and 3 main dishes but Beef Pho come first. Fry squid, spring rolls and beef pho are good but Nom ngo sen is bland and tough. Great service. Highly recommended Bun cha.

Tried many different pho places, but this is simply the best one! Highly recommend! My son and I absolutely loved it!
