Awesome job. Reasonably priced if your insurance lapses. Windscreen replaced within 2 hours. Customer service was outstanding

I was disappointed that I have to visit the shop 3 times just to have my windscreen replaced. They didn't make sure that they have the right glass for my car before confirming the schedule. I had to allocate my time just to send the car and cancel some appointment only to find out they need to reorder. Just some hassle on the costumer side where in fact they could have done better approach. I would also recommend to at least wipe the hand marks on the sealing specially if the car was sent clean.

To add, I have no issue with the windscreen attached so far. And the staff are friendly too.

This smith & smith branch is beyond a joke. They had an ENTIRE WEEK to get a pane of glass sent to them, book an appt for Friday in the arvo to get replaced. Husband & I both take time off work to get this done as we had to leave car elsewhere due to no garage space at our house. Got there only to be told they didn't have the glass and assured us it will be in by Monday in the AM. Along come today & no glass to there once we had got to the branch. They then said, glass will be there after lunch, as it is approaching 3pm & they need 2+ hours to install this pane of glass we thought we would call to see where it is at. Still not here! No contact to let us know that it wasn't here. We have lost now approaching 2+ days worth of wages and lots of time wasted because your company's communication is slack as anything. Wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone. Wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy to use these guys.

Excellent and quick job done really professionaly by Nik. No complaints in that area. Although my appt could have been better managed. The appt was booked 3 weeks in advance and they also confirmed the appt couple days before. But on arrival figured that the replacement windshield hasnt arrived. Luckily i didnt have to go through a full replacement otherwise it would have been a major disappointment.

A new windscreen is a negative purchase, but S&S make it easy. Efficient service all round, nice staff, comfortable waiting room. Class act.

Excellent service
They explained what had to be done in terminology I understood. Follow up service spot on. Will let you know how I get on when the repair is done next week as the windscreen has to be ordered in from overseas as there are many of the model car I have around in NZ.

Went in for a new windshield a 1 1/2 hours later left with out a New one still haven't heard from them too rebook. 3 hours out of my day

Failed to fix the chip, which later cracked and had to replace the whole thing. Then they didn't replace like for like and now have an ugly blue bar on the top of my windshield. Service tech didn't know what he was talking about. Insisted the crack was fine despite it clearly having grown. Next time I'm going to Novus

It's been exactly 6 months of my car door window replacement saga. Partly caused by the Covid-19 lock down. Early January I had my car broken into. The nearest available appointment was in North Shore. I didn't have an insurance and paid $440 for the glass replacement. The installed glass fell out in 3 days. And here it started! Under the warranty, the glass was reinstalled again, but didn't go up and down properly. Had to drive to Smith and Smith North Shore again. A technician said, that the wrong glass had been installed. Promised to order an original glass, I rebooked the replacement to the Henderson branch (closer to my place, than North Shore). In Henderson the glass was replaced, but it was a second hand one with rough scratches across it and the winding up and down still didn't work. Then my appointments were re-booked three times, due to the glass shipping delay. Today I had the saga ended. A lovely young lady - Tabby at Henderson branch managed to fix what 3 men before her couldn't! I am very grateful to her for her professionalism and skills!
I am not a business analyst, but can see that the business model used in Smith and Smith doesn't work. I paid $440 for 4 glass replacements, 3 pieces of glass delivered, 4 technicians' time, 4 half-days of my own time (had to take time off from work). How inefficiently resources, time and money are spent!

Absolutely nightmare experience when they replaced my windscreen and broke my part. Returned as 'was broken' before the replcement, found broken chips inside my car. I asked for photos taken before the replacement and was denied, AMI sent email to assist for evidence, totally no response.
Think twice before you go there.

Contacted the service centre and gave them our insurance ref number. Lady was helpful and made a booking to take my car in within a week. Staff was very helpful and my car was ready on time. Job was done neat.

Not good at all. Brought car in for replacement windscreen upon pick up that one was damaged by installer. Then no rebook made to replace it. Called the call centre to make another booking. Upon dropping it off for the "rebook" foundout that booking was cancelled with out anyone contacting us to let us know it rebook. Overall bad experience now waiting to hear what happened.

I wish I had a 0 (zero) rating to award them. A classic case of miscommunication between their staff who just want to hide their incapabilities behind the reason that they do not know who served me last time. I lodged a request to get the "SIDE REAR PASSENGER DOOR GLASS - BEHIND DRIVER" fixed on 22nd Feb 2020 and was booked in into the north shore branch because they had the availability earlier on 25th Feb 2020. But to my utter surprise they told me that they had some miscommunication within their team and have received wrong glass. Therefore, I shifted my appointment from North-shore Auckland service branch to Henderson, Auckland service branch and despite following it up with them 2 times (request you to check your call records - as it says "All calls are recorded for training & monitoring purposes") and confirm that it is ""SIDE REAR PASSENGER DOOR GLASS - BEHIND DRIVER" and no other glass in car so that I can get it fixed on 8th Feb 2020. Today, I have got another call from them just few hours before their closing of business hours that they have got my front windscreen & asking me to confirm when should I come to get it fixed. I mean seriously.when did I mention about front windscreen it was always "SIDE REAR PASSENGER DOOR GLASS". SUPERB CASE OF UNGRATEFUL & UNRESPONSIVE STAFF sitting on PATHETIC-CUSTOMER SERVICE desks.

NO STARS! I wish i wasnt forced by my insurance to use this company. We had to phone at least 8 times just to set up an appointment.no one calls one back.then when i called to confirm the appointment it has not been made as per our instruction.i would NEVER recommend this company.useless before the repair has even been made!

Great service, super fast install of windscreen and new wipers, went above and beyond and vacuumed my car and cleaned all the windows and left lollies on the seat, chur.

What a breeze today was with replacing my window. All done in 45 mins, clean windows, vacuumed car, guarantee and lollies left on passenger seat. The guy running the shop was so easy to deal with, explained everything thoroughly and the shop was busy but was completely under control. I would absolutely recommend going here.thanks guys
