These guys refurbished the roof (North Shore).

A few months later a leak appeared, which they responded too very quickly, replacing a broken tile.

Very professional, great team, and thoroughly recommend for roof maintenance/repairs/ sealing and painting. Very happy with the outcome.

We used Solar Chem to clean and recoat a roof when they first started. That roof is still looking great. We did not ask any other companies for a quote this time. They repointed where necessary, replaced broken tiles, removed two unused pipes and replaced the tiles. Roof was treated for moss, mould and grunge and cleaned off about 6 weeks later. Roof was then sealed and coated to the colour or our choice. ALL staff members were customer focused and easy to deal with.
Only criticism was they didn't mention the iron roof on the garage was not included. This was minor issue as it is a flat roof and we painted it ourselves over the weekend. Very happy with the price and finished roof. Recommend SCR for tiled roof work.

The resurfacing of the roof leaves an excellent result, looks "sharp". The worker was professional in his approach to the task.

Very caring and understanding people, good communications and always within the time frame of what was stated. Especially sympathetic as the work for the roof had to be delayed as my mother passed away she did not get to see the work done on her roof, but she would be smiling down from heaven and would be so "HAPPY") thank you very much to you and your team Steve!

Shame on this company and the owner/director: Steve. He is totally a liar. He stole our money away and left a ruined roof.

What a shame on this company and their staffs. They said their boss asked them to dismiss us because we are new immigrants?

We reached Steve initially and he was so polite. But after the despositing, he even said F words to us. They just took our deposit and gone away.

So disappointed with this company and this country.

We're advised that leaks in spouting could be fixed with silicone rather than replacing the spouting. When the team came out to the property came to our address to fix the spouting it was raining and we asked if it would be OK to do it under these weather conditions. The worker confirmed that it's fine and if there's any leaking after the job is done we can contact the area manager to have someone sent out again at a later date. I thought it was weird that they said that there may be leaks after the job when he said that it's fine to silicone leaks in spouting in raining weather conditions. Sure enough after the job was done there was more leaks than before the job was done. I called the area manager he confirmed that he was with the worker that came to our address to do the job and he said that the leaks are due to it raining the day the job was done so the silicone didn't set properly. So he basically lied and said that the job could be done when he knew the outcome and proceeded to do the job and take out money. He referred me to an email address to contact the office to rebook the job for around November when it's warmer and drier but we had our spouting fixed in August. So after a long wait I started emailing and calling their head office from November till January. Everytime I emailed they would reply that they have forwarded it to the appropriate team and then no further update. When I called head office the lady that answered the phone would say she's going to the team to ask for an update and still no correspondence. Eventually gave up and now having another company replace the entire spouting at my address. Wasted $500.

Terrible experience with this roofing company. Their worker’s negligence and unprofessional caused horrible ceiling leaking to my property (check the photo). Waste of time keep chasing them up day by day to conduct the job. They charged us over $10k, the service we received is definitely not worth it. They push us to pay before repairing all the damages. And refused to repair the leaking crack in bedroom since they believe that’s not caused by them. Very rude, unprofessional, irresponsible, inconsistent.

DO NOT use this company if you do not want your house be damaged!

Totally a rubbish roofing company with a very rude and dishonest owner/manager (his name is Steve).

Do more research and re-think about it before using them.

They took the money and did some serious damages, we have to do a re-roofing. They just ignored any call/text.

We went with their $600+ quote instead of the $300-$400 ones we got from other companies because Roly was professional and shown to be quite attentive. Things kind of went down hill after accepting the quote and the job “sent to production”. There was no contact for almost 2 months to schedule time. After job was finally completed (just wash and gutter clean) and paid, I followed up about the other issue with the roof which they said they would look at when they’re up there and provide quote to fix. I emailed and called but they never responded. Quite disappointing and wouldn’t recommend.

We had absolutely terrible experience dealing with Solar Chem Ltd. Unprofessional, rude, irresponsible staff. We paid $8000 for the roof repair job and ended up with multiple leaks in the roof after the first rain. We had to pay $1600 for the roof consultant's reports in order to prove that the conducted repair job was done unprofessionally. Eventually we took this company to the Dispute Tribunal and won full refund.

Most unprofessional service I have ever received from a company. It all starts off great when you deal with Roly who is professional, responsive and cheerful. Then you get handed over to Steve and its all downhill. Hes the most unprofessional, rude person I've ever had to deal with, obviously doesnt care about his job or his customers and just cant be effed. My whole job took almost a year from start to finish because of him and was highly stressful and not once did he apologise for his stuff ups. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, CHOOSE SOMEONE ELSE!

I have used Solar Chem on three different occasions and have had a good experience with them. Roly assisted me earlier and was spectacular. Steve and Justin served me recently and were responsive, kept me informed on the job and were courteous and professional. I will certainly call on them again and will and have recommended them to friends and colleagues.

We engaged Solar Chem Roofing to clean, where necessary repair, and seal our steep tile roof, which had received only minimal levels of attention over its 28 year life-span. We were impressed by the systematic, professional and thorough work performed by specialist teams and individuals, each in their turn. The workers were all friendly, courteous and polite. We were barely aware they were there, so considerate they were. We were kept up to date with progress and planned work.
We brought SCR in to work in tandem with a painting firm, who were painting and where necessary repairing the upper level's weatherboard exterior. The two teams interacted well and without any disagreements or operational issues.
The result is outstanding, the object of admiration from many neighbours, at least one of whom is planning to use SCR in the coming summer. Even in the process, neighbours were impressed by the diligence and care they could see being taken. Both the work and the results have reset the benchmark in our neighbourhood for roof maintenance and repair.
