Spark Store Queen Street reviews
27I use spark from long time and love how you give services to customers but today went to commercial bay queen street auckland store, the person is so rude,
I'm frustrated and very disappointed with the customer service provided. They offered benefits than won't work. They offer a gift card that according to the salesman you can use in the next year and after a few months they tell you it won't. I rather go to another company that they appreciate their customers.
Not recommended at all!
Very arogant sales person just trying to get people out of store to close. Very abrupt. Would not go back there. He spoke the same way to the customer after me as well whilst I was still looking around the store.
Service was great.
I got Alex to help me, was helpful and good at explaining things to me. Got things done fast as well.
Take your ID or Passport (if you are a foreigner) when buying/picking up any new device/sim/Wifi devices.
Help them Help you.
Haven't had issues yet, when I do, I will update this post accordingly.
Overall positive experience.for now
Got great service from Nachi. Seamless and efficient recovery of all my pics and transfer to a new phone. Thanks and all the best.
One star reviews may often be rants but hear me out on this one. It is about Spark as mobile provider, not the in store service. I hope, however, that I can save you the trouble of using Spark.
Mobile plan and app experience:
Spark has been a pleasant experience for the first while. At some point, they may change your economical plan for something else.
Then it starts becoming more difficult to handle. The rollover data may be locked away, and the plan changed or dropped. This makes every MB cost 30 cents (cost me 70 dollars on about 130 mb used).
When you try to change the plan, you can't do so from WiFi. You need funds for that. So to get rid of the prepaid top up with 30 cents/mb, you first need to TOP UP that very plan you want to change. Than you have to text a certain line to a number or try it via the app, which didn't work.
Customer service experience:
The customer service hotline just brings you from automated voiceline to automated voiceline with loads of menu's. Unless your question is generic and easy to answer like "what's my plan" or "How much money do I have left on my plan? ", you won't get an answer from it.
When you give up trying to reach a human on the phone, you can try it online. That is easier, but still will give you a hard time (see picture).
When I finally reached a human texter, she had to first forward me. The next texter needed my phone number, last top up amount and phone type. No problem in that. Afterwards, he was only able to state that indeed, I need to first top up my 'casual data' bundle (the one that costs you 30 cent/ mb), to change the plan so I could call again.
TLDR;
Spark might work for some people, or work temporarily, but if you have any problem or your plan gets changed, you might as well go back to using tin cans with a string in the middle.
What's a good alternative?
I've had Vodafone back in Europe and it has stellar customer service and in the long run will also save you money and stress.
Did I miss something or disagree? Let me know please.

Very helpful. Best yet person that helped me when not sure, went and asked someone more senior, rather then just guessing and making my life harder later.
They have what is called a no 'change of mind policy' got a phone case which I tried for the weekend but found it a bit clunky. Went in with the receipt and asked if I had the box, I told them that it was put on in store and I never had the box in my possession. I was told they don't accept returns without it. It's hard to accept a policy that results in a dissatisfied customer, I don't intend to get a new phone case every week in order to scam them. Not a slight on the staff they are following protocol just find it sly they don't give you the box so they can then turn around and say "you don't have the box we can't accept this. "
Rude staff 7 staff gossipping amongst them selves yto busy to give customers the attention they deserve. Poor image.sack them all and start again spark
U needs a new phone or a new connection. Go and meet Sam. He will get it done for you.

Failed many times to connect 2Degrees Broadband Support? The power even stronger than your poor rights to equality that can preasure 2Degrees is the peer power by Spark! Spark does compulsorily interfere in broadband account change from the trash 2Degrees. Thank you so much Spark!
Service= Falling over each other to serve you! Staff= Knowledgable and super friendly, cleanliness= amazing, aura= positive
I would highly recommend Andre, he has great customer service skills and the knowledge to go with it, would definitely ask for his help next time, good coffee
Fantastic, friendly service- had a couple of teething issues with a Spark SIM bought at the airport and these guys sorted it out very efficiently!
For the 6th time i have to go back to the store because my prepaid plan has not been renewed properly. Literally every single time i go to renewed my prepaid plan for some reason it never go through the first, so i have to go back and get it solved. Few months ago i've spend up to an hour at the Ponsonby location trying to renewed a prepaid plan. Come on man.
Very quick service. Did have to confirm my needs twice though before being sold the correct service.
Andre gave the best service! Walked in with a broken phone and walked out with a shiny new one knowing it's the best one for me. Will be getting all my tech from this store and will recommend it.
A small store. But the store personnel are swift with approaching and seemed very enthusiastic about there product and other things to do with it. If they didn't have what you where after the would point in the right way.
I went in to switch to Spark and port my phone number. They were helpful in the store and told me the number should be ported in 4 hours, but gave me a temporary phone number. After four days, I have yet to get my old number that all my work, friends and families have and have missed critical contacts. I have gone back to the store three times with no help, each time I am reassured it will work soon. I was told to call if it did not and I have called over a dozen times over three days and they have not picked up. I was hopeful, but disappointed in the end.
