62Love this place, great deals and a lot of variety. Only downside is that it gets busy and parking is hard to find! But if it is busy, it must be good!
We would like to acknowledge the help we got from Maddie in the Albany store. She helped us find some items and went above and beyond to do so. She was very pleasant and friendly and although she was in 'training" she displayed an attitude and helpfulness of an experienced retail worker. Well done and Thank-you Maddie.
Found what I was looking for, great big shop and lots of arts and crafts, stuff for home and lots more.
I want to thank the two fantastic staff of this branch, Sam and Georgia. You are states. Your customer service was beyond standards. Last time I had a bad experience with other staff, and I decided never to return to this branch, but yesterday I had to buy something and needed to refer there. I chose not to ask for help because I was disappointed. First, Sam approached me and helped me. I tried to have limited and short questions, but he was patient and eager to help me. He encouraged me to ask more questions and explain, then provided me with hips of products and helped me find the best one to fit my requirements. I was thrilled and decided to browse more and check if anything suited me. Then Georgia came and asked me if I needed help; she was kind, helpful and patient. I bobbins required, but I needed to figure out the size. I did not expect her to search on the internet and find what size could be the right size for my sewing machine; she did it herself for me and provided me with high standard customer service. I definitely come back to the store to visit them once more and say hello to them. They are unique; I wish for a promotion for them shortly. Thank you, Dear Sam and Georgia.

Cashier Lady was so arrogant didn’t say hi or hello, when I said hello -No response from her
After I paid for stuff she didn’t even say thanks or anything
Not sure why is was so unhappy,
If you can’t be bothered to greet customers or talk to them then why standing at cash counter?
Hide somewhere at the back at least we don’t have to deal with you.
Terrible customer service
Staff at counter are always nice. But today when I was in the line waiting for checkout, I saw a female staff, looks like in manager position, without her mask on and when she walked to the counter to help her coworker, she literally FLOSSED HER TEETH with her finger! That’s really GROSS especially in front of the customers. Later on she even touched other customer’s products….
I would like to Thank You Wendy & Michelle from the party ballon section. They really try their best to help us to solve some problems after I had speak out my concerns. The occasion is my purposing plan and I really need some Helium ballons and attached some pics with the ballon as well.

Experienced a slow counter today, the lady is moving very slowly.
One of the tidiest, well organised Spotlight stores I have visited. Well stocked. Plenty of parking. A pleasure to shop in thank you.
Spotlight Albany is actually really fabulous.
Masks aren't mandatory even with the shop assistants, so it was so refreshing to see smiling faces.
Plenty of nearby car parking available. Easy to spot retailer with large attractive (welcoming, colourful) frontage.
A cordial, polite welcomer.
The extensive range of material, fabric and craft essentials for serious and lightweight DIYers at very reasonable prices (well, mostly so). Plenty of gifts, trinkets and bric-a-brac to peruse and choose from too.
A good number of team members to ensure brief waiting times for service and or help. Professional, polite and helpful team members abound.
As a cashier, what make you so arrogant? Do I owe your money? Or your boss didn’t pay you on time? ? If you don’t like the job, you are very welcome to leave the role to someone with right attitude. What a eye opener cashier! Normally this kind of ARROGANT people on the TV show. TODAY, I meet her at SPOTLIGHT ALBANY SHOP! Never come back again! NEVER!
Train your staff before you let them serve the customers. I have asked them to fill helium gas in baloons, staff said they have the gas but do not know how to fill it, you guys have a facility to fill helium gas for different charges, but do not know how to fill it.
Spotlight is not a circus where things can make you happy even tho joker did not act accordingly.
A complete makeover and is now a great place to find decent quality art and craft materials. Helpful and kind staff too, a nice place.
Love Spotlight. They have all craft-, sewing- and bedding needs located under one roof. Their staff is amazing and always super helpful!
Had an issue buying something in store that was only available on the website. The staff helped us get it and do a click and collect within 10 min of ordering it online.
Lovely service but material was nothing spectacular. Not a whole lot of range of accessories that I needed. Maybe they are getting in more stock with change of seasons, who knows.

It's probably the only retail store I regularly visit where I actually would like the staff to offer their help. Check out people are always nice but rest of floor staff could totally do more.
I only heard about issues at spotlight and yesterday I experience it. One of the staff members provides wrong info.about pricing. Manager doesn’t show any concern about ‘customer satisfaction’ and be rude to the customer. Very unfortunate to see people with such mean mind sets now-a-days where globally ‘change ‘is accepted with a welcoming and happy face.
Another staff member wasn’t ready to call other spotlight store to enquire about stock. And even not ready to show us where the items are located within the store unless customer makes a decision to buy it! Seriously
Guys… Seriously… step back and think for a moment what impression you are creating for the customer!
2 stars just for the variety of items and literally negative rating to the staff! Not going back to that store again
