Spotlight Albany reviews
62 I've been to a few craft stores lately, this unit of Spotlight was my first great experience. The staff that was actually keen to help! They went above and beyond to support me to find the right materials. They were also very kind to me as I'm still new in the embroidery world. It made all the difference!
The inventory is very diverse and very good, the prices too. Highly recommend:)
Everything you need for the home project. I browse when the store is not busy.
Today I enjoyed some friendly banter with the main checkout staff near the exit - left with a smile on my face and materials for a small project.
Great service. The lady who assisted me was friendly and helpful. I thoroughly enjoy popping in for bits and bobs. 10/10.
Came here looking for some clothing dye, found it difficult to find, passed at least 4 staff members as I was walking up and down the isles, none offered any assistance.
Eventually found what I was looking for, once I got to check out staff greeted me, scanned item and was pleasantly surprised to find it cheaper than listed on the shelf.
Enjoyed shopping there. Good selection of stock & helpful staff. Good specials but normally priced goods a bit on the expensive side.
Sadly, spotlight is now a place where you don't buy anything unless it's on special. They have a good range, but you'll pay a lot more at spotlight than you will if you can find the product somewhere else. It's also very difficult to figure out the price on many items because they don't have prices labels and they may or may not be on special.
Some things in the knitting dept needed filling. Lots of empty spaces. Got what we needed though and staff were delightful. Pleasant place to shop.
Good collection of everything required for crafts and sewing materials. Ranges of stuff available. My favourite place to hangout and browse for hours
Most miserable click and collect across all New Zealand. They don't deliver the promise to get an order ready in 48 hours and fail to communicate it.
This was my worst click and collect shopping experience.i drove 24 km to the store only to be told the item was not in stock. I tried to replace the item no luck either.
Always love visiting Spotlight. So much I would love to buy. Bedding, Curtains, craft supplies, fabric for dress making, and curtain making etc. Great shop.
I spent a lot of time choosing baby knitting patterns only to discover they didn't stock the required yarns. Waste of time,
Quite friendly team but not happy with the level of service.team are counter huggers as I went in to buy a few items I was told to go get it myself "point and shoot mentality"-as team was task focused then helping customers.in particular Santana.maybe more focus in customer engagement eh guys
Worst customer service experience ever. Ordered through click & collect on Saturday, still not ready for collection on Tuesday. When you call tge shop, they first said that there’s no my name on the order, few days later tgey said that click & collect orders are ready in 48 business hours! But on their website it mentioned that it’s just 48 hours nit business hours! Didn’t offer any support, very rude.
Very friendly staff with loads of support from staff members walking the floor ready to help customers which personally is awesome to see loads of variety and value for money
I went in today and there was a massive line to pay with one operator on. I waited 15 minutes and had to leave goods behind to go for work.
Lots of sales prices. Which is good. Also find some items over priced. For e.g covered velvet coat hangers for 2 $7.00 at bunnings same coat hangers but 5 in bundle $3.95.
I asked a staff member if they had a product. They pointed me in the right direction but this is a huge store so I had to ask her to actually show me. She seemed to think that this was bit inconvenient for her.
Spotlight is a franchise so they are all the same.but if you like crafts or sewing there are fewer and fewer places now to get suitable items.
