Friendly staff and tasty food. Great interesting decor. Some of the food wasn't amazing, but for a gastro put it was of a good quality that you'd expect.

Lots of quirky books and art pieces around made for an interesting place to grab some lunch.

What a great atmosphere and so many varied areas to sit - quiet corners, sports lounge (Sky sports), larger areas for parties, outdoor areas etc. Fantastic food (twice cooked crispy Belly Pork is sublime).

Good Service and Great Food! Just don't book a table near the bar as it can get quite loud. When we get a table down the other end, everything else is great!

Great food experience, food was exceptional and served hot, nice large portions and very nice touches with the presentation of differrent food dishes. We had a large group of 20 plus people, I find most restaurants or bar and grills struggle with serving food hot or timely when there is a larger group, but no problems here. The service was professional and friendly from the wait staff, the venue was clean, comfortable, and open plan but also private as our family group used the side area just off th Chefs kitchen. I always look for the cheapest meals for an adult first, $20 entree, $40 mains $20 dessert. Drinks standard prices. A little pricey, but well worth it. I highly recommend eating in here or just a few drinks with great bar food if your in the area, you will not regret paying the bill.

Kai was yummy. Why only 4 stars is cause some of the kai wasnt hot. But it was worth the money. We had a platter for 2 and had so much we couldn't eat.

I thought this place was new when I went in. Then I realised the staff just aren't that attentive and its been thee for a while. There were issues with the drinks as well

Great service GREAT FOOD and the place was sooo popular. Your wait for your dinner was bout 15m which was good considering that the place was packed. I went with my sisters and we would DEFINITELY go back again. And I would encourage my freinds and family to go there too.

If I could rate zero stars, I would. The worst service and management I have ever experienced. We ordered 2 burgers and a pizza on a Sunday night. While the restaurant was busy, it was far from full. We were sat near the kitchen and could see the goings on. After an over 60 minute wait for our food we were promised our meals would be “5 more minutes”. One meal arrived after being sat at the kitchen service for over 5 minutes, while the other 2 meals were nowhere to be seen. When I asked if the other meals were close I was met with hostility from who I imagine was the manager. Another 5 minutes passed and other meals were being taken to tables but ours were still somewhere in the kitchen. I appreciate that orders get lost and kitchens get busy, however the condescension and rudeness I was met with when asking where my meals were is what has left the worst taste in my mouth, let alone the lack of apology from our waitress or the staff member responsible for the meals being run from the kitchen. I frequent other Good Home establishments, and other restaurants/cafes owned by the owner of Good Home Takanini and this is far from the reputation of service the owner has worked hard to gain. Very disappointed and very unlikely to return, and definitely will not be recommending.

Very dissapointing food and service. Entree was cold, fish was like rubber and rice was like paste and dumplings were iver cooked. Manager wasnt interested enough to hear our concerns. Wouldnt reccomend certainly wont be going back.

We enjoyed dining here. Massive place, so fascinatingly and coolly decorated/designed - really interesting to look around!

Humongous portions of food and high in quality, too. Legit, the biggest chicken "patty" I've ever had in any burger anywhere! No one on the table was able to finish their meal, so we took away the leftovers. Really tasty grub.fantastic flavours that were all so distinctive! Easily worth the money.

Our party ordered the Lamb Shank, Chowder & prawn Salad along with Fries & Bacon wrapped Scallops. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend the chowder with a nice coconut twist. Lamb Shank was huge and prawn salad was very generous. Good drink selection and nice light atmosphere, even during the day. Helpful staff & service was excellent. Food was a little slow to come bit worth the wait. Definitely reccommend.

Enjoyed a very generous portion of Chicken Roulade washed down with a glass of Kopiko Bay Merlot. My friend selected the Beef Burger stabbed with a steak knife! The staff are friendly and efficient. Tyla served our table. The quiet section of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, families are catered for in another part and there is a busy bar area. Worth a visit.

Amazing food, friendly staff as I visited there thrice and I had the same server but don't know the name unfortunately but I managed to get those, that's TANNER n MANAN, were the two servers whom I came across. Only reason they lost a star was because of the GUINNESS. IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A DARK STOUT BUT THIS ONE HAD BUBBLES IN IT. NOT SURE WHAT THE REASON WAS, MAY BE THE NITROGEN LEVELS BUT IT WASNT HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE. I am so sure of that is because I love GUINNESS and have been having it for more than 10 years now. The bubbles were on all days I observed. Again, great food as I ordered dumplings, fish n chips but pan fried as other one was way too greasy. Crispy fried chicken went well with the bubbly GUINNESS. An Amazing service I must say. Will recommend if the GUINNESS gets fixed from bubbly to still.

I come here basically once a week and these guys are absolutely amazing! No matter how busy or quiet they are I always get the same flawless service and the food always blows my mind. Tonight I decided to give the chicken tagliatelle pasta a go and my boyfriend had the ribs. A M A Z I N G. I also cant forget to mention the buttermilk fried chicken we get every single time it's so good I could eat that until I pop! Thanks to everyone at The Good Home Takanini especially you Tanner (spelling?) You guys are all go great to talk to and are all very good at your jobs. Kind Regards a very happy (and full) customer!

Haven't had a bad meal yet.friendly manager, proficient staff, yummy pizza's, I'd recommend Brazilian, ham and pineapple pizza.calamari is always.kids loved curly fries and traffic light drinks.cold beer

The Good Home did a great job of supporting us during several lockdowns, with yummy food available for pickup and now we got to go there in person and enjoy the same, omg with, unlike or used to be a year ago, exceptional service and response times.
