Tony's Lord Nelson Restaurant

First time here from out of town.
With a small group and we really enjoyed the food.
So many different steak meal options it was hard to decide.
Yes would go again without a doubt

Haven't been to Tony's for years was pleased to see all our old favorites still on the menu. Prawn cocktail, crumbed scallops, chicken livers and chicken satay. The food was excellent and our waitress lovely and attentive. We will definitely be going back.

The carpet bag steak used to be a real proper steak, not this thick cut, no less, but under 200gm for sure. Stuffed with. 2 little oysters. Used to be better.

Basic meal for $40 a few chips and small steak. No salad? Felt ripped off.
Reply to book me comment where I'll leave feedback as well. Food was very basic and overpriced. It tasted like home cooking. For $40 + I'd expect more also the steak was no where near 300g maybe half that at 150g.

Good food and great service. Opens late, unlike a lot of restraunts these days in Auckland CBD.

There is an unacceptable rule is that three people must order three main food, how ridiculous it is? Have you guys consider is that over enough for us? You just wanna earn more money then lose your face, don’t you?

Superb meals. Our second time there, steak is absolutely second to none! Cooked to perfection every time and we personally add the croquettes in addition to the vegetables (a great combination). I highly recommend the “Reef N’ Beef”… Reasonably priced drinks also, can’t fault this place to be honest. Reviews that criticise their prices? Come on, wake up! We’ve been to plenty of other steakhouses in town with eye-watering prices for steaks and sides alone!

The food was good, especially the steacks. Even the kids menu was good.
The restaurant is a bit old and some furnitures nees to be replace.
The service was really nice.

Always my go-to for a perfectly cooked steak. Lots of options so everyone can find something they like. Staff are always pleasant, and the coffee is great.

I have been in Argentina for weeks and have eaten beef practically every day. I have also worked and holidayed in the USA and enjoyed many a piece of beef. But the ribeye I had today at Tony's Lord Nelson was simply the best!

Irresponsible and unprofessional restaurant. We made a reservation on 7 Jan, for our last dinner at Auckland before we end the trip and we were all looking forward to the meal. The reservation was made on 7 Jan, and was confirmed by the restaurant in the morning, about 9am. But, I saw an email that my booking was cancelled at about 2pm on the same day. We tried to reach out to the restaurant to check why our booking is cancelled when we didn't do so, I emailed them with no response. And so we tried calling from 5pm onwards till 6pm, NO RESPONSE! Till date, we have not gotten any response from the restuarant btw. Is this the kind of service you provide? So unprofessional for a long standing restaurant.

Staff is amazing, food so delicious, decor a bit old, but it doesn't matter as food and staff more than make up for it. I highly recommend

Absolutely wonderful place to go to, their chicken is really good. The camembert cheese stuffed chicken tasted amazing. Steak was great as well.

A definite favourite! Regularly eat lunch there as I work in town. Food and service are always excellent! The steaks are always cooked to perfection! And the bearnaise sauce is one of the best I've tasted!

I was very hesitant about going in because the outside vibes was not it was a little dusty and stuffs. But the moment they opened their shop I absolutely loved it, loved the interior and the vibes. I love my steak medium rare they did great job, perfectly seasoned Would go again. Absolutely loved their food and costumer service. The one that served us was Pawi Kaur if I am right and she did such and amazing job. Parking would be a problem when going to Tony's Lord Nelson otherwise will surely come back.

Nice setting and atmosphere and good customer service, meals are a bit on small side but delicious.

Great place, had an extensive range of food to choose from and would accommodate most people. The steak I had was cooked to perfection. The Lamb shank my partner had was the best we have tasted.

Sensational.best steaks & the homemade Apple pie is a must! Thankyou for a beautiful dinner

Food was well presented and tasted great. Its nice when a chef knows how to cook a steak well done to med rare as was the case o our table. Service good as well
