VTNZ reviews
62I had Victoria, she was excellent with communication and all. Passed my Full license with use definitely recommend.
Highly recommend this VTNZ. THANK YOU so much Gerrard and team. Excellent customer service as soon as you enter friendly, polite and wonderful receptionist. I had Gerrard as my instructor and he was very professional/knew his material, bubbly and very informative, kind, patient and friendly. Thank you VTNZ Pukekohe for your professionalism, I had a excellent experience from start to finish and they know how to treat their customers well. A+
Awful experience here rude instructor pretty much told me I shouldn’t be behind the wheel, unreasonable and told me I failed before we even got back to the station which I found very unprofessional. Definitely won’t be going back there.
Went to get my restricted today, no reassurance from the instructor, It might be just me but the guy looked pretty frustrated coming from the office and when he looked at me he looked me up and down critically which didn’t help the nerves. I found him quite rude the whole drive and instead of constructive criticism I got patronised and basically talked down upon. In the end I got 3/2 critical errors and apparently one of my critical errors technically didn’t count (the instructor said this himself) but he still counted it. Could’ve passed but didn’t end up.
Just don't bother sitting your test here. The driveway is a nightmare to get out of and apparently I was told to park on the road to do the test, but I didn't get a prewarning about it. The professionalism isn't the greatest either, I think protestors have a better mannerism.
I would like to thank Donald the driving instructor for making me feel belittled, dumb and embarrassed. I was having such a bad morning and then to walk into vtnz to be talk down from this piece of shet like I was beneath him. I'm not the only person that has dealt with this old bag and that fact he's been getting away with talking to people like shet for years is beyond me. In other news lady's at the desk is lovely like always
Thank you so much Mark for giving me the confidence to drive and for helping me to overcome my nervousness and your kindness, was the reason that I had passed my driving test and kindly explained my errors.
I think $75 for a W. O. F is terrible. Your paying for a check that should have stayed at the $25 price range.
Pay for a lot these days to get either nothing extra or less than before. Easy revenue.
The service at the counter was really good. Not to sure about the mechanic.
I'll try not to be back.
Sadly VTNZ is living up to their reputation of being way too uptight about their driving license testing and wof, heard many stories but today i experienced one of them, driving instructor seemed ticked off from bad day or previous driver prior to even meeting him, had a disagreement on fail of test and was wishy washy with his guidance.if you get Peter C as your instructor good luck with having a pleasant time.however the front counter lady's were nice, helpful and polite so at least that was a positive.
Excellent speedy service with friendly staff.
Very convenient as it provides both WoF and registration for your car at one go.
VTNZ broke my car. It went in mechanically fine and came out of the testing station with the engine light on and doesn’t idle properly anymore. Tried to resolve the issue with the supervisor who was no help at all, just kept trying to tell me nothing they do will break a car but clearly that is not the case. Desk staff were polite however it is not helpful at all as I now have to pay the mechanic bill to fix what VTNZ broke.
Very unorganized branch. WOF check worker was directing customers to line up in one area and Donald was redirecting everyone into another area to line up. I stood in line for over an hour to renew my license and when I got to the front they changed their system and priortized WOF payments and allowed 7 people behind me to go in one by one well I continued to wait! Donald was very blunt and rude when asked a simple question. Have better communication, fix your system and if Donald is a representation of your service then it's absolutely terrible!
Failed my ute for having tinted windows! Tinted to 35% professionally a few weeks ago and is trying to tell me they are 20%. And telling me my tyres are over haf worn when they are almost new. Very picky and sour. Tints arent unsafe! Especially 35%! If it wasnt for having to use a lease account for my wof I wouldn’t be going there. Totally avoid this place.
Poor attitude. Rude testing officer seemed very stressed out and agro. Never introduced himself, kept slapping his forehead throughout the drive especially if I asked him to repeat his instructions and kept flailing his arms to gesture where he wanted me to drive rather than talking.
Back at the station I tried to request a different officer and he came back out being passive aggressive. When I asked why he didn't give me the paperwork notes for my test he lied and said "Yes I did. I emailed it to you before! I emailed it to you after! "
He emailed me nothing.
If your job is so stressful take a break. There were many other testing officers there with much better attitudes.
I don’t know if it’s justice to give low rating due to one person attitude? That’s why I am keeping 3* rating instead of one because there are many good people at this branch too. Sad experience here, the officer blond and small hair, took my wife restricted test was rude and angry because of some reason and came out from office frustrated. May be she was overloaded with work or her senior officer given her warning on her attitude. Same test done at WIRI branch and officer was so nice and explained the mistake politely. It’s not right people pay money to get service and they provide service with harsh attitude and represents whole branch.
Terribly inconsistent. Iv always had my wofs done there, and they’re so terribly inconsistent. Worst example iv had is having to go back there 3 times in one day for a ‘problem’ that I knew was fine as told by a seperate mechanic, and got told 3 different things and completely irrelevant problem/no longer problems on the same day. Also had to wait 1.5hr+ each return so literally took up my whole day. Something stupid always happens every time I go there… and now know many people have had the same.
Today I had my80thyear driving test. My instructor was Mark I found he was a great instructor most helpful and clear with his instructions. IMark was very good instructor. I would rate he a 10.
Wof super expensive.
Waited an hr and half, get it its covid, busy etc etc etc, but the organisational skills of ppl in charge was dismal.the lanes were marked cars, trailers and trucks. As soon as the car lane was full, later arrival cars were put in those lanes. So waiting an hr, i see a car drive up, gets put in the truck lane gets the wof done and gone, and im still 3rd in line. It was possible, totally to move the cars thar were there forward, but that wud require some thought.
5/5 would recommend! Today I was at the VTNZ to sit my restricted license and i had Deano as my driving instructor. I can't express enough on how he made me feel relaxed and confident within my own self. Which really help't me pass! Great atmosphere and I would recommend anyone to Deano. Thank you so much!
Manager Brett and inspector Brad could not have been more helpful with the recommissioning of my 1964 Rover which had been off the road for 32 years, the inspection and paperwork completed smoothly.
I highly recommend the excellent services of this VTNZ branch
