Elizabeth Cafe & Larder

There was a lot of hype and expectations going to eat here. Unfortunately thats where the excitement ended. Plainly put - the food and drinks are overpriced for what they are.
If I had to try sell this place to someone I would say "Nice eggs bene".

Not much social distancing going on and pretty average coffee. I really wanted to enjoy this place but was disappointed.

I love this place. The service is always great and fast. They have such delicious smoothies and the coffee is always on point. Clean, spacious and beauty decor. Also must add that they dish up the BEST EGGS BENEDICT IN THE BAY! Can't wait to go back!

Lovely environment and atmosphere, great food and coffee. The staff are friendly and efficient.

The steak lunch was superb reasonably priced, but the side orders of fries for $3.50 was over the top, for about 15 chips, this was way over priced

Good food and coffee. I would suggest having a bit more variety with sweets and pre prepared food.

Visited for lunch today. Service at the counter was good, quick and polite. 3 coffees ordered, 2 delivered to our table and 4 minutes later the very simple long black arrived. Both the flat white and moca were filled half mast which might seem picky but they should be filled to the top of the cups. We ordered cabinet food which was all very tasty and good value (well priced). The waitress however was blunt, insisted the beef pie was chicken and seemed to only be able to carry two plates at a time. The chicken, I mean beef, pie and frittata arrived and then she delivered food to another table, then she delivered the rest of meal to our table. I would probably return and hope for more friendly wait staff.

Worst experience ever.
Ordered eggs benny and came good came with not one but 2 egg shells.
When I pointed this to the serving staff her reaction was as quoted “clearly you haven’t noticed we are too busy today”
Interesting fact that they are clearly not too busy taking reservations and charging customers but clearly making simple eggs is just too hard.

Giving one star as can’t give anything below that.

Great service and food. Pity there was construction going on in the building. No wait; it might have been the music playing with the bass turned down real low! Hard to tell if there was music. Hurt the ears anyway. Probably won't go back to find out.

We surprised them with a large group for breakfast and everything was great. Good service and fantastic food

It is nice, fancy place, with very beautiful, stylish interior design, open kitchen, and space for kids. There are also ketogenic food options available as well as Gluten free. It is a nice place indeed however I think the price is too high for the food that they serve. It doesn't worth this much, to be honest, it is not a good value.

Wow! We had the keto waffles and they were amazing. The quality of the food and the care with which it was cooked was very evident, so I highly recommend a visit. Not cheap but absolutely worth every penny. Great coffee too!

Went for breakfast. Members of our group ate keto.
I had the Keto Breakfast and it was extremely delicious.
Have had their Keto Waffles previously too and they were also scrum-diddly-umtious!
Great coffee.
I love their hot chocolate with coconut milk.
Highly recommend here for coffee and cake or a meal

I went to Elizabeth Cafe & Larder because it was central and had ample carparking behind the building. When I went inside the decor was modern and clean and had a great atmosphere. The menu looked delicious and I found it hard to just choose one item. The French toast was delicious and was generous in size. I ordered a vanilla iced latte which was perfect and I couldn’t help but choose one of their raw cabinet treats to takeaway with me on my way out. Will definitely be back for seconds!

Had lunch here. The Keto waffles are amazing no matter what diet you are on! Coffee good too. Eggs bene a little disappointing. Will be back.

Being ignored and forgotten about is never a good experience in a restaurant. Very disappointed with the service.

Lovely cafe great food. Big NO NO is that if you park behind the cafe you have to pay for parking. Wd be nice to have validated parking.

All in all this was a great night. From the warm welcome from the owner himself to the great service from the owners and their staff and the fabulous food. Highly recommend. The atmosphere and welcome from the owner was warm and inviting. We were a party of three service was prompt, courteous, and helpful. We chose three separate dishes for our mains.

We went for breakfast for the first time in this cafe and found it to be of a very modern city design, very large and open, service was good and the food was very nice, coffee good so it was a very pleasant experience, we would like to go again sometime, only one thing was the music was a bit loud.

Literally. So bad. I ordered the BB. Somthing or other and it was all so bad. The meat was harder than my shoe leather, potato hash was cold and tasted like fridge and the beans. I mean I don't even know what they were supposed to taste like. Also the service was not great. Orange juice = good. I would never come back.

Sorry I didn't tell you at the time. I felt sick and could not face a confrontation. I really hope this place gets better as it used to be the BEST.
