Great staff, Chefs on the ball, you choose your meats, vege, fruits, seafood, flavoured oils etc and the chefs hot plate cook it 5 stars

Overall this is one of the worse food experiences I have ever have. Services was awful, food was awful. Lack of options, staff unable to cope on a Tuesday night. Do not ever come here. Waited over 40mins just for 3 drinks.

Was good as usual. Lots of choices. Did the early bird special. My meat, however, wasn't cooked how I would normally have it (beef) but overall it was nice.

We have been coming to Gengys for years now as a large whānau. The food is always tasty and fresh, as it was this evening.
Downfalls was the restaurant needs a thorough deep clean. The highchairs were filthy and we were one of the first diners in this evening. The highchair waiting in our reserved area was disgusting and the ones lined up weren't much better. The cleanest one still needed a wipe down. The toilet walls were pretty gross, as were the skirting boards.
We also rang to book a month in advance and lucky we called this week to double check our confirmation, as our time slot we organised had been changed.
I wouldn't rush back in a hurry due to the state of the overall restaurant, but the food was good thankfully.

It was a Great place to dine at, thee food options were awesome, free cold water, dessert was nice ice cream, pancakes, whipped cream, thee customers kept thee 4 cooks busy with their selection of food that needed to be cooked on thee forever hot circled plate, it was quite an experience for me, being my very first attendance at a Gengy's Kahn Restaurant.:)

Pretty cool experience creating dish from the uncooked selection of food and then watching it being cooked on a big grill right in front of you. Good variety of meat, vegetables, finger foods, pancakes, ice cream, and even sushi! We went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy (obviously a pretty popular place) We took our toddler and it was pretty hectic, loud, hot, and a bit claustrophobic. Better for families with older kids or little people that aren't too easily overwhelmed. Overall with the selection of yummy food, we would go back minus the toddler.

Eat all you can. Stomach was full, but heart was not. Great selection of food. Create your own recipe on the go. Must visit when in Rotorua.

Towards the end of our meal the hadnt served our dtinks we ordered and payed for had to go up to the bar and ask for our drinks. Was over crowded.

Rotoua Gengys:
The meat was off theisbwas evident because parts of the meat was grey. There was always something missing when going up to fill your bowl. There was hardly any sauces. They had combinations of sauce mixes to use, but sauces weren't event there. I would've left but I was not my function. I did make the staff aware of the off meat. Someone came and changed it, however he came out with more off meat. Will not recommend this place at all. DISGUSTING!

Staff were amazing! My good was Cooked a little too long with some burnt bits. But atmosphere and customer service were on point.

It was good service but would have been better if they came and took orders for drinks and the knives and forks were there cause they ran out of forks

Great selection with some very friendly staff that is knowledgeable with the food they supply. Recommend giving it a try so delicious

Went early with kids. Good variety of cold foods and meat, veg and sauces for mains. Nice light pancakes. Worth the money

Didn't have a pleasant time here! The place looked like it hadn't been cleant in a while. Got some of the lamb meat too only to find out it was rancid after tasting it. Spent most of my time in the bathroom after that. Staff were apologetic though which I appreciated, but it really did make for a disappointing evening.

This restaurant in other regions we have been to are so much for cleaner better service and more fresher looking food than rotorua branch. The bowls we put our food in were so badly chipped it would be a health and safety problem. The food was cooked far too long with burnt tasting seafood! Very disappointed as it was quite expensive.

Amazing experience. Highly recommend to come and go to this place. You walk in expecting nothing except dinner and leave with an experience. Just watch how the chefs make the food items.

Loved this place. Thankuou for prepping my grand daughters birthday cake and my little moko Tua rua's. Enjoyed every bit, kid friendly.

Best place. Unlimited food. Unlimited water. If you don't like it, it's probably your own fault as you choose what's in your food and how it's cooked.

Was ok. Best thing were the chicken nibbles but as per usual high volumes of customers ment waiting around for food to be topped up, expected though when you go to buffets.
