Gengy's Restaurant

First time ever at Gengy's and it was truly an experience. Although it was very busy, staff were calm and chefs were absolutely amazing! Highly recommended plus must try the pancakes they were divine!

Had hubby's birthday dinner, haven't been there for some time, but everything was yummy

First time there, didn't really know what to do but thankfully went with others. Grab a bowl and fill with what you need/want and then put it on the bench for the chefs to cook to perfection. Has ice cream, pancake station and jelly/fruit.
Service was nice and atmosphere was good, definitely go back again

Our family enjoyed our dine in experience. Although not much to choose from on the deserts table, the delicious pancakes make up for it. Was good to see a variety of stir fry options. Good service and yummy food.

Very clean, warm friendly atmosphere.
Great service, well spaced seating and tables and really welled priced.
Perfect location for large and small gatherings.
Parking outside on the street easy access.

Beautiful kai, lovely place but when we got here thus was our first time and nobody told us what to do, I had to go up and ask again the place was to loud to understand what staff were saying maybe having someone accomodate, greet and take new customers through the process would help a great deal. Picture of my yum noodles, teriyaki chicken veg and garlic oil + sweet & sour sauce over the top.

Excellent food choice at a reasonable price. Food was constantly bring refilled so there was always extra choices. Will definitely eat here again.

Super friendly staff compared to all other restaurants in New Zealand. They welcome you very well and have very good manners.
The food is amazing and drinks are great too.

Gengy’s is a good place to have a buffet in the holiday season. Staff are very friendly, foods are tasty. There are variety meats to choose, enough snacks and ice creams.

Variety of food in the buffet for dinner, although I wish there was more variety at the dessert table.
We loved the stir fry options also.

Love that you can choose your food and watch it being cooked. However not impressed that we had chosen seats away from people, but was then asked to sit at a certain table. They definitely did not follow the two meter or one meter rule. It was barely half a meter a way from all tables we were in close proximity on all 4 sides. Not impressed with that. Other than that great option of food and good for the children to have and pick their own too.

Rotorua, Very nice selection of meat & Veges & I liked choosing my own food combos. Very friendly staff. I loved the pancake & ice cream to finish it off

Great place for the family.
A unique eating experience where you can select your raw ingredients and then hand it to one of the chefs who will then expertly cook it for you.
A basic knowledge of Asian cooking oils and sauces is required when adding it to your raw ingredients is essential.
Excellent Asian dining.

Great place to grab a bowl choose your food, then it is cooked on a huge BBQ.
Plenty of Prawns etc. So Yum!

Very enjoyable and accommodating we were able to take our own birthday cake in and only paid $1 for the 18year old birthday boy.

Foods were delicious and most of all, extremely happy with the great service.

Pretty expensive per adult at $35 each! But was still a nice dinner out with the family to end off the night. Definately better then Valentine's.

The food is ok but we made the mistake of going on opening time definitely avoid this as the herds shovel in and they can't cope. Long what for your food.

Best place for a great meal being able to choose from a selection of meats, vegetables, sauces and salts, make your own salad and pancakes and ice cream for dessert is fabulous! Clean and tidy facilities, great customer service and fair prices.
Highly recommended.
