Kaimai Cafe reviews
42 This place is frickin amazing. Coffee is soooo good. Beer is sooo cold.the meals were just fan bloody Tastic.
Well done team.
When it's busy during the weekend, be prepared to wait for your food. That said, the burger was good, the vegetarian breakfast was nice and watching the cows graze is somehow therapeutic.
The spiced iced chai was the best part of this excursion!
Unfortunately not a great experience. 45 min wait when the Cafe didn't look busy at all, is too long; especially when my dish arrived cold and my partner's eggs benedict had a hair in it.
The 'hash' dish I ordered wasn't a hash at all, I think potato medley is more accurate. Hash implies crispy hot potato of which there was none. Staff were friendly and coffee was good which is why I have given 2 stars.
We have been meaning to visit for some time. Got there today. Lovely clean cafe. We sat out on the deck looking over farm land and seeing lots of turkeys.
Food was very nice but we felt the 45min wait for it was a bit long.
The staff did an awesome job with the Mother's Day rush, and the food and drinks were great as always. Overall a great experience, definitely recommend!
We booked a month ago and understood it would be busy for mothers day. But what a joke. They ran out of wine, and the food took over an hour! Once it arrived none of us could eat it. Our fitters you could of used as frisbees. And it was absolutely terrible. Unfortunately we will be not recommending. Our 9 year old could of done better!
Loved this cafe last few times but it has been a while since last visit. Mother's Day treat turned out to be a disappointing outing. We didn't book and it was very busy but we were told half hour wait which seemed fine. After an hour we thought we had been forgotten. The nachos looked liked they had been cooked and left in the oven overnight, the chicken burger was processed and not worth $19.50 - unlike the lovely menu description. A waitress came out for her break and sat next to us for her cigarette. We voiced our concerns to a lovely older waitress and she said she would tell management. No-one came to our table.we left very unhappy, and won't go back or recommend. Hopefully the owners will be better prepared next Mother's Day.or any day judging from some other reviews.
Called in on Saturday 3rd April for lunch, ordered our coffees and lunch. Received our coffees within 10 minutes but had to check out what had happened to our lunch order. 1hour later after ordering we received our lunch. Very disappointed. Others had to wait for their orders. Two couples ordered after us and received their orders before us.
Meals were very good nice selection meals and slices recommend. Also nice drive out there with it
Unfortunately I would never recommend nor will I be returning.today we arrived at a very quiet cafe, after ordering, getting our coffees within 20mins, then waiting a another 50mins for a nachos and toasted sandwich, by this stage there were about 30 people all waiting on food.everyone looking around wondering whats going on.where there food is, then people asking for a refund.would be different if we were told there was a wait.wouldn't have waited 50mins.for over cooked.cold nachos and a toasted sandwich
Staff were excellent in their duties with a good selection of both hot and cold food at a reasonable price and the coffee was quite good
Coffee was nothing outstanding and bordering on bitter. Outside seating area is in a good location overlooking farmland, however the scenery is spoiled by the noise pollution caused by having the main road right next to it, which makes it an incredibly noisy place to try and relax on route. The farm shops are now gone sadly, and once what was a thriving complex now looks run down.
First time here. Was OK for what we paid for we were left a little dissapointed. Probably wouldn't go back, was far to busy for the amount of staff, drinks took 25 min, food was 30 min after. Food was average, smoothie tasted like water and berries and shake tasted poor. Good staff though, probably should have gone on quite day for a better experience.
Nice and clean. Set back off the road. Lovely setting really. Food was delicious and the staff are amazingly friendly. Thank you for the lovely lunch.
Peaceful quiet demonstration to sit with a cuppa and cake. Relaxing while you watch the wildlife fly by.
Had Big breakfast Cold poached eggs over cooked cold bacon, bland creamy mushrooms no taste or pepper for $22. My mother had nachos but far too little mince.
Fantastic experience at the Kaimai Cafe. Not only was the food delicious and the view lovely but I left an item behind and they very kindly posted it to me. That is outstanding service!
Forgot to mix scones and a half pint mini milk shake, note also took 30min with two babys on standby
Not enough staff working service not there and food was to long coming out.
Food tasted good
Took me a while to get there although I'm just down the road. But the food and coffees are amazing, really nice setting and staff are friendly.will definitely be back for Saturday breakfasts!
