This was probably one of our best meals during a month spent travelling across New Zealand. We had the Tostadas de Carne Mechada and the Chimichanga de Pollo, as well as the Sopaipillas for dessert, and all were absolutely incredible! This was the best Latin American cuisine I've had in years.

The owners are very friendly and the service was super quick. Booking definitely recommended as it's quite a small restaurant. I'm sad that we're only traveling through and won't be able to eat here again!

Yummy fusion if Latin American cuisine, tasty food full of flavor, many Gluten-free options. Sangria with a tocuh of sherry was exceptional, so was the staff. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I recommend trying their home made jalapeno sauces too. Thanks Sabroso!

You must visit this place for a fantastic experience trying South American food. It's running with the owners, so they are so warm to having me and the food is impressive. You have to try margaritas there!

A place not to be missed,
Great service, very varied menu, GF friendly, good drinks, beer, wine, etc.
Food here is superb, same as Service.
Will definitely return next time around Rotorua,

This is the best restaurant in Rotorua! We went for the first time last night and were blown away by the service, the food, the drinks.everything was delicious and very well priced. They could definitely put their prices up! Sarah was so lovely as well, and their home made hot sauce is delish. We will definitely be back.

WOW. I’m going to have dreams about that Batatas y Cerdo. The husband/wife duo were my server and chef, and they’re both so nice and excellent at what they do. I walked in about 20 minutes after they opened on a Saturday night and they fit me right in and everything from the drinks to food afterwards were fantastic.

Can’t recommend this place enough! Calamari tacos, the margaritas, and the service were all matched in perfection! Best Latin American food I’ve had in NZ. Recommend making a booking so you can snag a table!

Make sure you book a table at this restaurant when you visit Rotorua. So delicious, and fantastic service from Sarah and John. A fun vibe and plenty of options for those with dietary requirements. Highly recommend the Mango and Passionfruit Margarita! Honestly, the food all round was just incredible.

I was so excited to eat at Sabroso on a recent trip to Rotorua having heard all about how wonderful it was. I worried it wouldn't meet my expectations after such good reviews but it was as perfect and delicious as I expected. Fantastic service, cosy atmosphere, margaritas to die for and so much yummy food to enjoy. Still talking about it to everyone and looking forward to heading back next time I'm down that way!

Margaritas great and service by Sarah amazing. Interesting and informative. Not a fan of the cigars but the rest very tasty. A great experience.

We ate at Sabroso's tonight and can't recommend it enough. The food was the most authentic Latin-American we have had in a long time and best of all, every single bite was absolutely delicious! The staff were all so friendly and the food came out very quickly too. Definitely come eat here if you are in Rotorua!

Loved this small and cosy restaurant. We were fortunate to walk in and dine, because of a cancellation. Our host/ Waitress, was very warm and welcoming. She had a wealth of information to help us select our food and drink. The food was very fresh and tasty and everything was very well priced. I will definitely return, when we are back in Rotorua.

Love this place, they never over fill, Great margaritas, authentic South American cuisine and made in-house with fresh ingredients.
