Tay Street Beach Cafe reviews
57My message came out half an hour before everyone else at my table so was cold by the time I ate it. If you order as a table you expect all meals to come out near enough at the same time
Nice atmosphere, good food.mount prices I'm happy to pay more for good and I mean good, coffee.but why am I paying more for mount coffee
Fantastic food, coffee and service. Big shout out to waiter Josh for the icepack for wasp sting.
Most perfect coffee I've had in ages! Lots of seating and right near the beach. Lovely little gift shop in there as well.
Sad as.
Massive queues.unable to stand and wait due to physical condition.was looking forward to finally going after hearing so much about it.might have to wait for winter.
Tay Street Beach Cafe' is always a great stop. Even the days you need to queue because it's so darn popular. The coffee, the icecreams, the food, it's all just as wonderful as the beautiful beach straight across the road. The staff are always welcoming and friendly.
Love this place. Highly recommended.
Always a hassle, no wonder the cafe next door is always busier. Hard to get good staff right now but lots manage to.
Their decaff soy flatwhite is yummy. Very popular so a bit crowded; however, it's just across the road from the beach so easy to turn it into a picnic.and away from the main Mt congestion, so pretty easy to get a park. Enjoy.
Great service and coffee. Excellent selection for kids. Good place to stop before or after hitting the beach.
Friendly staff, delicious drinks/ food and next to the beach, what more could you want?
Dog friendly - water provided.
The food was good and the location is amazing. The food and coffees came very quickly and this was appreciated. The staff were very very friendly, one particular staff member was very happy to chat away and his travel this made for interesting conversation. Good luck to his endeavours in Australia.
Fab food, so delish and consistent + friendly service even when busy.
Also want to give a shout out to the FOH staff who we saw dealing with some very difficult unvaxed customers, its bloody hard on the staff implementing these rules, be kind to them.
Not only great food and drinks but also a fantastic place to see and be seen. Get lost around the BoP's high class local.
This cafe has location and good food however the staff are rude and not very obliging with attitude to go! As it's not the only cafe at the Mount we'll now drive straight past it on our way to somewhere else, it's a shame the staff are the foundations to you're business cause the business will now lose customers because of it! It's a real shame.
Went here for first time after good reviews and recommendations. Well dont think I'll go back I had eggs benny. Not impressed.
Brunch at Tay Street was great selection of food Food was delicious with good portions.
Had Eggs Bene and Banoffee Waffle. Coffee by Havana.
Was really impressed with the service and the food was oh so good. Lovely setting and great to see dogs welcome in the outside seating area
Service was top notch.
Food was absolutely unbelievable!
The mango smoothie was the best I have had in New Zealand!
Thank you, we really enjoyed your hospitality!
Food service is way too slow. More than 40 min wait for a burger, and the place wasn't even crowded. Also, I like salt but OMG, the food (chicken burger) was like taking a sip from the dead sea: s
Not 1 star only because I was offered a complimentary coffee due to the long wait.
I recommend the place to let customers know an estimated waiting time so we decide to stay or not and to not waste our time the way it happened to me today.
