Great treatments available here if you want to take out your eyeballs and have them smash it right in front of you.

sujeong about Ko Kai, Korean Restaurant

I missed Korean food while traveling, so I was very happy to see Jeyuk Deopbap on the menu. I was surprised by the amount of meat in the spicy pork and it was so delicious. The spiciness is just right, so even people who can't take spicy food will enjoy it. This is a must-see for Koreans traveling to Gisborne^^
The owner is a native Korean haha.

I've always loved coming to this place to get my dose of bleach as the bleach they use literally lighten you up from the tone of your grandma's Mississippi mud cake to party ice. The bleach they give me to drink each time has delivered satisfactory results and therefore I am giving this business a total of 4 stars.
Well deserved crew.

The Chicken and Mushroom pies are a winner from the truck stop, everything is always fresh. Recommendation (Try the deep fried Mussels)

Worth you stopping in.

Access to the lighthouse is currently closed. The path is damaged and impassable. Since the path leads through private land, failure to follow it will result in a criminal offense.

The worst accommodation available in Gisborne, the roofs are covered in bird feces as well as the private balcony of the room that we were offered, let's not forget the feathers and leaves that you can enjoy if you wanted to have a swim in the main pool.
Rips in the lounge suite, broken taps in the bathroom, no air circulation while not in use, so there is a vile musty, stale smell in the room. The sarcasm presented by Lisa the receptionist/manager is disgraceful as she was insisting that she would place us in a very very nice room with a discount applied and a total cost of $200 for the evening. Would not recommend wasting your money at this complex.
With all that being said I enjoyed a lovely evening stay at CAPTAIN COOKS MOTORLODGE.

Needs aircon - specially in heat of summer. The flies were horrendous. Coffee order mucked up. Waffles were hard

Chips were ok and customer service good, but the fish batter was stuck to the paper so my battered fish was not cooked enough, first time here.
