Managed to get a same day appointment for a sore tooth. Saw Bevan who sorted it no problem

I rang this morning to make an appointment for a tooth extraction as I’m in severe pain with my tooth and I’ve had it done here before. The lady on the other end had proceeded to say that there were no available appointments until the end of September I had told her I was in pain and have no way of dealing with the pain she then continued saying that I had missed my last appointment and was unsure if they wanted to give me the booking I told her that was unfair to do that she then said I would have to pay a deposit upon visit and I said yes I asked her how much the deposit was she then said I would have to pay full price of $220 to secure my appointment and she wasn’t sure if they were going to give it to me so she tried to scare me with paying full price I was telling her how unfair she was being just because I had missed a previous appointment and had not been given a reminder she said it should have been my responsibility when she had said a text would be sent out to remind me keep in mind this appointment was weeks after my first visit. She said she couldn’t help me and I was kept telling her that she didn’t want to help me and she just kept sorry well I can’t help you and told me to look elsewhere. Dentist in Gisborne are always booked or simply can’t sign up with anyone as there always packed. She has made me feel overwhelmed as I’m. Ow here to deal with a problem she could have helped me with but did not want too. You shouldn’t use the skin colour you wear as a privilege to speak to someone different. You were rude and embarrassing to the Mayfair dental.

Disgusting practice, My daughter missed her appointment by circumstances out of our control, we were told we weren't able to rebook her appointment and to find another dentist. What a joke, life happens and circumstances change daily, do not recommend this dentist.

Absolute worst. We rang twice to confirm our appointments. Travelled 1.5hrs to come here only to find out the admin didn’t book one of us in and the other was only a booking for a 10 minute consultation…. So we travelled all this way for nothing. Should charge you guys for fuel!

Just a day before a trip to Q'town for my b'day with friends & whanau my front tooth broke & fell out.not a great look lol Bevan was slammed with clients but the staff squeezed me in at such short notice & he did an absolutely amazing job as always! Ngā mihi.

Had an appointment booked by the receptionist, and when i arrived on the appointment date given, i was turned away and told I would have to wait a month to make another appointment due to being short staffed (Today). Absolutely terrible customer service. And super unprofessional. Do not waste your time or money here whanau
