Rude staff. Their previous comment about no cockroach is false - it was under the cushion on the dirty seats. I apologised for the miscommunication, but their staff were rude and inconsiderate as to customer dietary needs. I truly wouldn't recommend for anyone who is gluten free - despite their claims they know what they're doing, they wouldn't even use gluten-free tongs. If you're coeliac, avoid!
0/10. Staff are incredibly rude.stating food is gluten free, then getting in an argument when I ask if it's 100% celiac friendly and you cannot give me a clear answer. Throwing hands up in the air and sending other staff to the table to continue to talk about the situation when they were not involved.not to mention the cockroach on the chair.
You guys aren't even cockroach free, how can you claim to be gluten free.
. Slices on the small side and cost to much.scramble eggs were horrible.
I won't be going back
Two weeks ago i went in for lunch at raffles st, was asked for my vaccine pass by a girl at counter. I just got a knew phone and havent downloaded it yet so i showed the girl my covid record card given to me by the parmacy. The girl polietly said im sorry we dont except that. I said ok ill just get my passport of my phone, she said thats fine but ill have to do it outside. Now i made an honest mistake and sat down outside on a chair to download vaccine passport. Apparently my 14 yr old daughter heard the girl say youll have to go outside the gate, all i heard was go outside. So everythings cool im sitting outside by the gate on my phone downloading passport when this battleaxe comes out yelling at me telling me i got to get off the premise. Up until this moment everything was fine and relaxed. I tried to explain to this battleaxe im just downloading my passport now. Like a typical battleaxe she fires up even more and says i dont even want you here. Now all this could have been avoided if she was a normal person come out quietly seeing me on my phone knowing im downloading my passport and said nicely and quietly im sorry sir youll have to do that outside the gate. Instead she disturbs everybody there havin a nice quite lunch yelling at me trying to make out im some anti vaxer on her premise. So i fire up and explain to all the other people im just getting my passport off my phone. So i own a couple of bussiness and there is no way i would ever talk to my contractors or clients like this. When you bussiness fails you only have youself to blame. I will be posting this on multiple forums as this is discussing behaviour and not how you treat someone who made an honest mistake by sitting inside the gate and was in the process of conforming. If this is how you treat your customers i hate to think what youre personal lifes like.glenn titte
The don't take foreign credit cards. As they tell u after u've ordered. Nice staff, though, so two stars
I am vegetarian and had the creamy mushrooms without bacon. The food was okay but wasn't fair to get just a egg. Other cafes give you always two eggs. Probably, this dish is not worth it for the price and having it without bacon
Over-rated. Over-priced.
Creamy mushrooms were bland and tasteless and covered in a sweet balsamic reduction which is strange combo, made the whole dish with bacon etc sweet.
Plum cheesecake lacked in cream cheese, seemed more like a light mousse with gelatinised topping.
Salad was good at least.
Very nice coffee shop, I can recommend it. The only thing that one must be aware of: they do not accept international credit cards! Only cash or a domestic debit card from NZ will work.
Nice cafe and with food of GF, DF and Veg options. Lot of choice of bakery and sweet slices and slice can have a taste sample, that I recommend for people who want to try all different slices at once.
Same owner as Dalton kitchen, so their menu and food are same or very similar. Good food and services as usual.
Lovely cafe with some great food options and good coffee. Sweetcorn waffle eggs bene with mushrooms and spinach was lovely, and so filling.
Generally pretty good as staff are kind most of the time. One in particular seemed like she didn’t want to be there when I asked if I could order. Food was great but slightly limited. Prices were good as well.
Cafe occupies an old styled villa home.
Porch type easy entrance in and out with indoor and outdoor seating available.
Nice coffee
All is nice, ordered “bit of this, bit of that” and crispy chicken waffles, nice coffee as well. Just bacon was too salty which created a sharp flavour adding into the dish.
Nice cafe, easy to get a park which isnt always easy in Napier. Coffee is good and service too.
Nice cuppachino, lovely made fluffy for the kids. Has colouring-in pages and some toys to entertain the kids.
Nice food, served fast even in the busy lunch rush hour. Obviously a great place as it was very busy when I was there!
Best cafe in Napier. Awesome menu. Great service. 10/10
The team are super friendly and food is always delicious.
Absolutely amazing cafe! The staff are super friendly and helpful. The coffee is always delicious, as is the food. They are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. Thanks for being a place we can guarantee a good coffee with a smile!
Not locals and stumbled across this cafe, lovely service and we both rated out breakfasts 10/10. Great coffee and all the cabinet food looked so good. Looking forward to our next visit already
