Angel Louise Cafe

We had a really yummy lunch at this cafe, which was made all the more special because of the friendly staff who created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A special acknowledgment to Winnie who spent some time playing with our son in between serving customers. What a gem! Definitely recommend this gorgeous little cafe.

We were excited to return for lunch yesterday, but very disappointed with what seemed to be a lowering of food quality from our previous visits. The lettuce was bruised and brown, with a piece with rotten black ends, and the poached eggs were slightly undercooked. The service was excellent, and staff friendly, but the guest we took there (their first time) was underwhelmed. Hopefully it was just an off day, and things return to their previous great standard.

Came in as they were closing but the lovely person turned the coffee machine back on and made me a delicious coffee.
Will be back earlier next time.

Eggs Benedict was spot-on, as was the eggs on sourdough. The vanilla latte could have used more vanilla, and the hot chocolate needed a bit less milk. Gorgeous grounds and location, with heaps of sheltered outdoor seating and kid-friendly play spaces.

Excellent coffee, unfortunately missed out on food as kitchen closed at 3pm. Friendly service

So pleased we called in for lunch on our way through. Was impressed with the availability of what was on offer there was plenty of cabinet food options and it didn't take long for our drinks and cooked meals to come to the table. There were options for seating also indoors/outdoors booths etc. The cafe was clean and staff friendly and well presented. An abundance of food options for all meal times and diets. The sandpit and kids toys were an added bonus. Will definitely be visiting again if you haven't been before I strongly suggest you do, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed

Great coffee. Better than Taupo. Good service and clean and tidy. Stopped in on our way to and from Taupo. Pleasant young man at counter. Will always stop here if we are going in this direction. Thank you A+

A very good cafe in the middle of nowhere! The prices are not at all expensive and it is very good. The place is pretty with a small garden area and board games, magazines are available

Lots of menu options and heaps of gluten free baked goods. I'm not celiac but I know a few who all say their melting moments are delicious.

Only cafe serving a good breakfast in Raetihi. The menu is varied enough with very good prices for a cafe. Service is friendly with the atmosphere nice a tranquil. Food is good and all well made. Pankcake stack could of been better with more bacon even at expense of the third pancake.

Wonderful welcome that is so small town NZ. Beautiful winters day and I came across from Ohakune to fuel my Tour Coach. Popped in to Angel Louise Cafe with driver mate. Seafood chowder - superb. Highly Recommended you visit.

Came for brunch, we both had the Mexican stack, filled us up and it was cooked well. Coffee was good. Can imagine the back garden area would be nice to sit in.
