Very relaxed vibe and the servers are amazing and hot (especially the guy) great place to chill and have dinner or an occasional boba meet up with mates 10/10 recommend for anyone needing a fix for boba/coffee or any type of Asian-oriented food it’s amazing

I am only able to visit Palmerston North two evenings a year, whilst on business, and this is where I eat when I come to town. Great food, and bubble tea, good portions, relaxed atmosphere, reasonably priced, and above all, friendly and caring staff! Thanks to Alice and her team. See you again soon. Andrew

The ambience at Black Pearl is absolutely captivating. I enjoy their Green Curry Chicken Ramen, which pairs perfectly with my favorite bubble tea.

This Food business is EXCEPTIONAL. For every single wish, need, question they went over and above to achieve what we wanted. The occasion was a 21st lunch with family for a young adult who deserved to be spoiled.

They decorated it for the Birthday Young adult & it was a wonderful surprise for her. The surprise went as planned. They did all of this remotely as I do not live in Palmy.

I could not have done it without their full efficient support. Legends. All done with a positive attitude, support & smiles.

The food came out super duper fast. And they timed it all wonderfully. And the surprise Cake too.

Their BUBBLE TEAS are AMAZING. Yum.

This place is amazing! My wife and I went here four days in a row. The food and bubble tea is absolutely delicious. Super friendly and lovely workers too. Very kind and accommodating to all our needs. Fish in the tank are super cute too! Between us and a few friends we almost tried all of the bubble tea flavours (we had 18 bubble tea drinks) and they all were fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Bubble tea, katsu chicken, ramen etc all their food is delicious. Hard to decide when we go there for dinner. So many dishes I still need to try and cannot wait

Great place to have a meal or a bubble tea on the go. I usually get the chicken katsu with rice & a matcha green tea with coconut jelly. Place was clean & tidy, team on were friendly and helpful. My favourite worker there is the alternative girl but they are all very nice. Food came out quick and fresh.

My wife & I work in excess of 100 hours a week, & we thought that we'd treat ourselves to a takeaway meal from this business. "Big Mistake" When I got home the tray was half full of what resembled the contents from a pig bucket. Paltry serving of vegetables, 5 prawns, & not enough rice for one person. For what they charged, you certainly don't get value for money! Took the "Train Wreck" of a meal back, & demanded a refund. After some deliberation with the owner over the phone, I was given a full refund. Went across the road & bought 2 roast meals for the same price, which were incredible in comparison to this establishment. We'll never refer our guests to this business if they ever ask for food recommendations in Palmerston North. Furthermore to my review in response to the owner, it's a pity when businesses & staff "Gaslight" the situation. I refute all allegations of behaving in the manner which has been fed to you by your staff member. Additionally, the other customers in the store at the time praised me for taking a stand for what was an absolute farce in regards to the dish we ordered & paid for! Your reply reflects what your meal consisted of, bitterness, no substance, over inflated self assurance, & most of all deception. You have 100 percent reaffirmed our stance on considering your business as nothing more than just a footnote on the listings of all eateries available in Te Ppaioea (Palmerston North)

Ordered crispy pork with bok Choi and roti bread through delievery easy, absolute 10/10. So good!

It was kinda bad 3 takeaway meals well under par in size and flavor for its price 1st and last time ordering a meal here.but the bubble tea winning

Ordered sweet and sour pork and probably the worst I’ve had. Asked for extra meat and they put extra vegetables ‍️ The pork are usually fried with sauce but this one seemed like it was just boiled then added to the veggies with sauce. Not a good experience with them.

The korean chicken was super tasty, the sheimp wontons were good but the suace was extremely salty, and the black sesame bubble tea was downright disgusting.

Ordered here via Uber Eats whilst on holiday. The chicken pad thai was on point, loved how there was chilli flakes on the side to mix in, gave it amazing flavour. Highly recommend the roti with peanut sauce too

Never thought their bubble tea is so good. It's a bit different from Gong Cha and I like their milk teas especially the papaya (try the yogurt popping pearls)

We loved it, the service was awesome, the food was delicious. And the bubble drinks were delightful. We will definitely be going back.

I usually love this place, but I went in today for the first time in ages so excited and all for under cooked food that took 30 mins to come out, the people that ordered 10mins after me got all of their food first it was crazy. I felt sick after taking a bite of the under cooked food that was cold in the middle. I’m not happy and I usually love this place

Clean, fresh, delicious, friendly, variety are words that spring to mind when thinking of the Black Pearl Cafe. The portions are more than generous and very good value for money. I can highly recommend this establishment.
