Breakers Palmerston North reviews
76 Great. Little five year old chose Breakers for his birthday Dinner celebration. Five adults four grandies.
Good meals. Fish burger was great hot and nice pieces of fish. We all ate well for economical priced meals for nine people.
Staff very helpful and meals served promptly.
Great Service and delicious meals.
Chicken Diane was Superb.
They even swapped out the burger buns on our Chicken Burger for lettuce when we asked for a healthy alternative.
Easy reservations over the phone.
Plenty of activities to keep your children occupied.
Food was good, but no discount for super gold card even though there is a sign on the door saying it is welcome. I guess "welcome" is as far as it goes. Friendly staff.
We went here for Mother's Day. Although the decor is non-existent, it was a huge place so we were expecting long delays. We were pleasantly surprised at their promptness and their pleasantness. I had a BBC burger, and my wife had the Kiwi burger. They were very large and tasty, one of the best burgers we had ever eaten. We highly recommend them. If you're looking for a burger in Palmy North, you couldn't do better than this place!
We had lunch here and the lunch menu was perfect. I had the Kahuna burger it was great but too big to finish definitely didn't leave hungry. My husband had the Kiwi burger and he said his was just enough. Both burgers came with really crispy chips all for $16 per burger. Will definitely do lunch here again, highly recommend
Hi, my husband chose Breakers to have a quick meal before attending Trade Evening. The Welcome from the Staff was friendly and polite, we were invited to take a seat, my husband was then asked if he had a Gold card (must have been the thinning Grey hair, he was then told about the Gold Card meals. I chose a Ceasars Chinese Salad, he had a Burger &Fries, we both had a dessert &a drink. Meals were well presented, tasty and best of all the Bill was $50.00. We would really ecomend you giving Breakers Palmerton North a visit.
Very discusted in the hospitality, staff wernt welcoming, the lightning was poor, and dark, and for the price we payed, we will never go back.
Upon entering Breakers on a Sunday evening with no reservation, as we were not planning on being in Palmerston North, we were met with the friendliest waitress with the hugest smile. She had no hesitation in explaining the procedure around eating at Breakers, the specials board, and we could sit wherever we wanted. Ordering was a breeze, press the button at the table and hey presto a waitress appears. The below photos are the fish and chips, you even got to choose battered or crumbed fish and the mussels in a garlic sauce. As dinner was served the sun was setting in the hills and causing a glare, there was no hesitation in asking if I wanted the blind lowered. Top service, but only a four star due to the amount of grit left in my mussels. Overall a great experience. We will definitely be back
Fantastic food, wonderful service and well priced. We were catered to as a large group and the staff were friendly as well. Will be going back there for sure!
Sadly disappointing experience. Firstly the garlic bread was burnt, I mentioned this to waitress she walked away. She did come back and offer to replace it, which I appreciated.
I had battered fish which was soaked in oil.
The chip's were shoestring. Considering it cost$28.00 it was a very disappointing meal.
We will not be returning.
Staff were friendly.
We really enjoyed ourselves here.
Great service and great food.
I recommend this place to everyone and go enjoy a great place, atmosphere and great service and great food.
Food less than desirable sent food back but no improvement when it was returned. Very disappointing
So where do I start.worst customer service ever especially after being mocked by their staff after their failure to rectify their own mistakes and making it our problem. We waited so long for our meals and an entree that should have been first out was completely missed which we then had to have in a take away container after waiting 1.5 hours.we asked for the duty managers name which waiters refused to tell us then we saw the duty manager run off out the back! So not happy at all as this could have been handled in a more professional manner!
Customer service was trash as. Had to wait over an hour for one entree. Unprofessional. Some meals got forgotten.
Horrible service. Waitress knocked over drinks. Served to me gone off muscles that tasted fowl. Left myself to clear a table of 15. Decided to put said dishes on bar while 6 waitresses stood there and watched me walk back and forth while they were all chatting to each other requested the birthday cake several times they offered to put candles, another waitresses asked a half hour later if we wanted the cakes and candles. I told her to not worry as I just wanted to get out! I then tried to pay well this took even longer and for the second time of letting them know aout the muscles she then laughed at the fact i could get sick. Not impressed. I am sat here the next morning writing this and I am very sick! Shame on them!
Good meals an service, plenty of seating and parking, very family friendly with lots of high chairs for the little ones, beers cold too!
Gone down hill as far as the menu goes prices a little high which is all understandable since covid service and staff is still good still a good place to take the kids
Been to restaurant several times over the years. Mediocre food, at least what we had. Won't be going back.
Breakers is a very underrated restaurant. When I was very young it was the 'go-to' restaurant for families, but even now that I am 19, myself and a lot of my friends meet here for an amazing, decently priced meal and catch up. Good atmosphere, good food.
Kids looove coming here.staff are young and less than enthusiastic it would improve our experience greatly if they actually smiled.but food is yummy
