Stayed the night in Palmerston North so looked up where to have breakfast and this Cafe came up with great reviews.
My grandson loved his, as did I.
Beautifully presented and tasted great. Highly recommend.

Coffee and drink was delicious. Ordered calamari salad, perfectly cook with quality produce. Staff supper helpful and friendly. Definitely should come here if you visit Palmerston North.

They have reduced their menu and the food quality has done the same. Staff need more training as the front of house don’t know what they’re doing

Awesome dog friendly cafe!
People are very friends, food is amazing everytime looking the most delicious.
Brings dogs water and understands if they are nervous or when to ignore them.

Had a long black and the smash avocado hash. Great coffee and probably the best breakfast in Palmerston North.

Found this cafe very noisy.counter staff unfriendly food expensive and very bland.coffee cold won’t be recommending it or returning

This place is bright, sunny and the staff attentive and understanding. Went in for a coffee and ended up staying two hours without any judgment from staff. Will go and eat next and bring more people with me.

Had a great lunch at the Local! The salad was fresh and very tasty, the staff were friendly and the cafe had a vibrant atmosphere. Highly recommend

Headed in off the cuff for a coffee and eats.

The staff were amazing with dietary requirements we have and were checking with the chefs to ensure we were looked after.

Plus this is one of the ONLY places in NZ that serves Lactose Free Milk as an option! Most other places just have coconut, almond and oat.

Stopped in to Local for breakfast on the way north. Very personable, friendly and prompt service. Ordered the Smashed Avo and Feta, and my partner did the build-your-own breakfast, which was a great treat! Don't want eggs? No problem! Both meals were well-prepared, beautifully presented and tasted delicious.

Highly recommend Local and if we are back in Palmy for breakfast again, we will definitely pop by!

Excellent fare & prices. Nice premises but a bit on the noisy side though. No dedicated customer parking.

LOCAL is an absolutely world-class Cafe! The best coffee we have had in New Zealand and the service is exemplary. Clean, modern atmosphere, and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Fantastic staff, very kind and prompt service. Amazing hash bites, and a smashed avo plate to die for.

Was actually very unimpressed went in had a look at menu with the ppl I was with who was also unimpressed and we all decided to go to another cafe

Food was a little pricey
But worth the extra cost as food was delicious and looked beautiful.
Would have given a 5 if staff actually acknowledged you as a customer instead of just looking at you like they're staring out the window no one said a word to us until I said hello and made my order with the lovely person behind the register

Very disappointed, ordered and then had to follow up half hour later. They had lost our breakfast order. Really? Not busy, not good service.

Love the atmosphere and the vibe of this place. My dip and pita was yum. They didn't have good vegan options though.

I have recently moved to Palmy from Auckland and I feel this cafe would give them a run for there money. Great, friendly staff and being able to pick and choose is a great concept, super happy and will be returning
