Great place to grab a drink and unwind after a long day on the slopes skiing. The food options are pretty good and the selection of events and drinks available on a regular basis are pretty great. Kinda expensive for a bar but well worth it for the vibe, the atmosphere and the selection of drinks available. Highly recommend going if you have a group, or stay in their rooms if you can afford it. 10/10

Awesome place to Chill, eat and be entertained. Great place to get warmed up by a fire and mulled wine.

Great food. Very confused waiting staff who weren't sure whether to serve the restaurant or the bar. Very expensive.

Don't go here, staff and security are horrible and are not very nice people. They don't care about customer service.

This was our second time stay, both of 2 nights' duration. We love it. Great bedrooms, heated indoor pool. There are lots of adventure things to do with a local pick up drop off service. The breakfast are very very good with a huge tasty selection. The interior of the hotel is all exposed timber very incharnting. Always clean and friendly helpful service.

Efficient customer service, food came out super fast, and selection of drinks was great. And the music Playlist was on point?

The spinach ravioli was very mediocre. Dry and chewy, tasteless sauce, in fact the only thing with taste was the whole clove of garlic somewhere in the middle of it. Horribly overpriced as well.

Had dinner and drinks here on two consecutive nights. The service was excellent and the food was good, well prepared and presented. There is a limited menu and mainly caters for a fast food style but if you accept this, it's a great place to go. Selection of beers and wine is great and overall a fun place to be in. Highly recommended this a place to eat and drink.

Had a great dinner at the Powderkeg - ribs/salad and creme Brule were outstanding. Kids enjoyed their meals and activity sheet. Waitress (Isla) was friendly and spot-on with recommendations. Would definitely go back.

Came in day after New Year’s for a post hike dinner. Restaurant seemed slammed with a lot of people waiting for food. Our table of 4 waited more than 45 minutes to get our food and the bar ran out of several cocktails and RTD ciders that we tried to order. Food was fairly good when it arrived (Ravioli, Eye Fillet with Gnocchi, and Ribs), service was just slow. Would have been great if they’d let us know when we first sat down that there was a long wait to get food so we could have ordered some appetizers to munch on while we waited.

My husband and I stopped at Powderkeg Restaurant and Bar for a lunch. We ordered Seasoned wedges with cheese, bacon, sour cream and chilli, and Teriyaki free range chicken, slaw and Japanese mayo burger. The food was so delicious. The flavours of the burger were different and amazing. Highly recommend.

Food was awful, seemed like a reheated pre-cooked burger, no flavour and nachos were really bad. Was charged two different prices for the same beer, seems a rip-off

The staff were fantastic and this is a good 'frontier hotel' in terms of architecture but with modern facilities.

Spent two nights at the hotel. Great room facilities. Cosy bar with Good beer! No complaints about the meals served at tables in bar area. Service was very good thanks you to our waitresses.

We found them as they were one of the only places open tonight. They got us a seat right away and service was very prompt. Dinner came quickly and all of us were very satisfied with it. They checked on us several times to make sure everything was okay. We were in and out in a very comfortable 35 minutes! The atmosphere was great and everyone seemed happy, including the girl who served us. She seemed happy enough to joke with us and had great acrylic nails. Service was helpful and we were able to get a nice dish for my Mum who has very restrictive dietary options. It also seemed clean. My only concern was that the lady serving us said she would bring ‘a large jug of water’ and brought… a medium sized milk bottle jug? It wasn’t large
The building and area are lovely and it’s great that they could cater to dietary restrictions. There are plenty of parking spaces. However, it is hard to find the restaurant or know if it is open in the massive building - but just ask reception. It also doesn’t look like it would be accessible to someone in a wheelchair or with mobility issues, FYI.

Long wait, cold burger and the wrong sort of fries rather than what was stated on the menu. Also expensive. I mentioned that I was a bit disgruntled and it fell on dead ears.

Been here a few times, and they are excellent each time. A great selection of local beer, well prepared food, and great service.
Definitely go again.

The food is very delicious and customer service is good as well. But, the next 2 hour was the horrible 2 hours in my life. I think I was food poisoning by their goat cheese.

I ordered pepperoni pizza, the pizza included goat cheese which smells very good and tasted good too. I enjoyed the food and was telling my husband that this cheese smells amazing. My husband had one small piece and he was ok. I had 3 pieces and felt full. In an hour, the first half hour I was ok, the second half I felt a bit dizzy and my stomach cramped, I throw out a bit. The second hour, I felt very sick and kept vomiting until there is nothing to.

We stayed in Powderhorn Chateau for one night and I couldn’t enjoy my staying because I was vomiting food at the night. I never suffered that much before.

Food was good. Reasonably priced. Good atmosphere. We went during the busy time 18.30-20.00. Floor staff did their best during that time. Order was done quickly and food came out quickly as well. Wasn't too happy with the bar, waited a long time, was clearly the only ones waiting for a period, then another patron came up to the bar and was served first. So gave up, but then the floor staff took our drink order, so all good.
Would Def recommend and would return if back in the area.

Awesome staff. Good atmosphere and burgers as good as they get. Sat by the fire so very cosy. No booking but just turn up. More like a gastro English pub.
