Thai Villa Restaurant reviews
57 The place was very busy waited 1/2 hour for starters then nearly another hour for my main - my partners main didn’t arrive even though this was chased up We had explained we were in a hurry so just paid for what we ate. No apology from the staff
The tofu satay was not particularly flavoursome-very average.
As we were seated on the pavement hard to comment on the atmosphere inside the restaurant.
We had 4 different plates and all of them were prepared with care and presented looking tastefully we all enjoyed our meals thanks to the staff and cook great evening dinner
Friendly staff, nice Thai good, wonderful music. Highly recommend satay chicken with their homemade peanut stay sauce, and the three season fish is made by fresh fish is amazing
Thought i would try somewhere different as they advertised 10% off, both on a sign outside their store and online. A little disappointed to be honest, once we ordered we were advised this was only for eat in patrons and not takeaway (this was not specified on the sign). We had to pay extra to have rice with our curry. In my opinion, the meal was over priced for the amount of food we received and the quality. Probably wouldn't come back.
Absolutely loved everything about our meal. Had the set menu option, a Tues and Wed special. So we'll priced, delicious and great service. Highly recommend.
Prompt service and a wide range of tasty food choices. All 14 of us really enjoyed our meals
Sweet and sour pork pork dry sauce tasteless no where near as good as it used to be. Also pork red curry pork dry very dissapointing
Got takeaways from here and was very disappointed.
Tom yum soup more like Chilli water with chicken.
Waited for more than an hour and the food was so bland! Won't be going back and probably won't recommend the place
Visited this restaurant for the first time tonight. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the restaurant itself is very cosy & had traditional thai pictures etc on the wall, the table was beautifully well presented with the serviettes folded in a beautiful way.
The food was absolutely amazing, and came out pretty quickly, and big portions.
The photos don’t do it justice, you must go.
We will definitely be highly recommending Thai Villa to everyone & we will definitely be back again. A+A+A+
Good efficient polite service. Drinks delivered quickly. Meals came in good time too. Will shine here when we come again, thank you.
We went there on Xmas day, the only place we found open. Ordered 3 meals to eat there and 4 others to takeaway for the family at home. Waited a whole hour for the food. Other customers who came after us had eaten and left. And in the takeaway part there was one main item missing. They said sorry but charged us for a quick simple extra rice. Stuff happens, but in such severe cases I don't accept "sorry" unless it's backed with something material, like a reduced bill, free drinks, whatever. The food was edible, the Shiraz drinkable and the beer was warm. Overall, not a place I would go back to or recommend, but applause for being open at all.
Ordered the drunken Chicken noodles. The chicken used seemed to be frozen and it was stale. It tasted bad. Poor quality.
Didn’t give that feedback to the staff as nowadays people don’t like to be given feedback and they get offended.
They even charge horrendously for Cut Chili. Overall quite expensive for the location, experience and its taste.
Really enjoyed a set menu banquet with a group of 18 people
Delicious food, friendly service.
Actually absolutely fuming at how small of a portion my $26 main was l. On top of that, the delivery provider they use charged an $8 delivery fee.
Amazing food and service. Loving the atmosphere. This is one place I go to for a night out. Highly recommend
Highly recommend Thai Villa. Brilliant service and very yummy food. Went the extra mile for a family birthday we were celebrating (with a lovely dessert of carrot cake for the birthday lady).
Despite high expectations I too am disappointed in Thai Villa. Don't order takeaways on a Saturday night when the place is packed. Was told our order for two would take 25 minutes. Returned to collect and waited another 20 minutes plus. Was asked twice for the name of my order, only to then be given an order that had been sitting on the counter for 10 minutes or more. Was cold and to make matters worse the lid of one meal wasn't on properly and leaked over the only summer pants I brought for a weekend away.
Ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and was asked how hot I wanted it. I asked for hot which seemed to surprise the waitress. When my meal arrived it was not hot at all and in fact was devoid of any heat what so ever. When I paid the docket actually said hot? There was also scant chicken maybe 10-12 pieces and they were overcooked and chewy. Very disappointing won't be going again.
We were disappointed that the entrees were frozen bought +not in house made. Our mains were ok. Their other customers seemed happy so good for them. The staff were friendly.
