Lambretta's Cafe Bar reviews
69Very lovely vibe here! Staff are super friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing. Perfect place for us to stop for our morning tea. Very spacious and tidy. Would highly recommend to anyone anyone the area.
Amazing service, fantastic kids zone and great food! Lunch on a budget or a splash out either way it's worth it!
Nice cafe I had nachos for lunch bit disappointing.the tomato salsa was old and sour.beans lacked flavour.just out of a tin! No guacamole. I wouldn't have it again.my coffee was good
We had breakfast at Lambretta's. Friendly staff, good service and very prompt delivery of our food. Kids pancakes were just the right size with a juice. French toast with berry compote, maple syrup and cream was excellent. Nice decor with tribute to the Lambretta scooter. Recommend this place
Wondering if the older gentleman who served us was having a tough day. Fortunately the wait staff were warm and engaging as he had all the warmth of of a breeze block on an autumn day. Apparently the coffee and big breakfast was excellent. The chai was a warm milkshake, the salmon with the eggs benne was fridge cold.
Apirl2021: theme is interesting for a non enthusiast. Space is great. Chose to sit outside for brunch. Staff were happy and quick.meals fresh and hot. Coffee strong & hot. Price a bit x-spendie. (when pricing an average main meal) BUT no faults with cooking.
A staff member whom was walking back from a break came and took empty plates back into store as she walked past.
Really nice spot. Went here a couple of times during our stay. Had the eggs benedict everytime. It was just regular eggs benny without fancy bells and whistles which was just what I was after. Staff were really lovely and we could have a ciggie at our table outside while soaking up the sun and people watching. They have readymade food on display and then you can also order from the menu. Everything looked lovely. It didn't break the bank.
We ordered coffee and they were made to perfection. Also I tried thier savory muffin, and I must say it been a long time since I had such a decent muffin. I had the big breakfast with poached eggs, my friend had smokes salmon with bagels, and my son had chicken nuggets. We all three enjoyed our meals
Awful place. Eggs overcooked and food just ok. The back of the shop and customer toilet area is frankly disgusting! CLEAN IT UP GUYS - you are serving food here! This place is in need of a new manager, new chef, new cheesecake recipe and an urgent visit from Council.
Staff were welcoming and friendly, sadly the rest of the experience wasn't so great. Two eggs bennedicts arrived swiftly featuring rather bland presentation and an over cooked egg each. The spinach wasn't fully cooked through on my partner's dish. Both topped with an unimpressive prepared sauce. Honestly I really don't like to complain about food and typically wouldn't if I had just one of these individually fairly minor issues but all together it just made for an unimpressive brunch, especially for the price. To top it off my coffee was awful. Had a staff member come by our table I would have asked them to remake it as I wasn't going to drink it. After finishing our meals I thought perhaps I was being to petty, made the most of it and finished it anyway. Not a fan of wasting food I've paid for even if it is awful.
Some nice seating arrangements and space for kids but honestly I doubt I'll be back soon given the price and quality. I am more than capable of overcooking my own eggs. I'd rather not pay nearly $20 for the privilege.
FOH staff were pleasant but judging by other reviews the management might needs some fresh light on some aspects of the business.
A very good place to eat and socialise, food from the cabinet or cooked to order. Friendly helpful staff. Strongly recommended
Nice cafe setting with scooters as 'wall hangings & ornaments" for interest, friendly staff & a delicious all day breaky as well as fabulous GF & Keto cabinette food to boot, so everyone in our group catered for, highly recommend
Very average at best. Very expensive wine and beer. Food was minimalist. Won't be rushing back. Such a shame used to be good I wonder what has happened?
Great place, friendly and professional staff. Great value and staff open to helping with dietary requirements (gluten free and dairy free). Highly recommend checking it out.
Worst place in Nelson, heavy music!
You can't even talk to the persons with you.
More over, the food is disgusting and too expensive.
Fake italian restaurant managed by money lovers.
RUN AWAY!
The food was lovely
We where confused as to being told to sit at a table had to ask for service
Maybe lack of staff?
Enjoyed our first meal out after lock down
Thank you
Lambrettas staff
Brilliant food, great coffee in a nice atmosphere. Service is swift and friendly. Good for breakfast, lunch or a quick coffee.
Best muffins and coffee in town. Fantastic service to boot. Actually their food it worth a try.
Nice atmosphere. Good food. We enjoy coming in here, but it's quite popular with locals and tourists alike. There is seating outside but plenty inside for rainy days. Lots of food options for everyone.
Great spot. Custard squares to die for! Sit outside and enjoy Nelson’s weather. Good pizza and attentive staff.
