Called in off chance on Friday after being at another place that disappointed us. Service was great food awesome and lovely view over river. Will be back

We happened by yesterday and were very positively surprised by the menu and the ambience right on the river. Ate very tasty and followed the wine recommendation. Very good food at a fair price.

So awesome loved how the rooms were so clean staff were helpful. I've booked again for tomorrow and they gave me a discount

Only thing is it is pricey the food when eating out for two people, would be great if they had some options on specials each night that is discounted.

We dined here for dinner 3 times in one week while we were staying in Nelson.
The food & service was excellent without fault. The fish, ribeye, venison & confit duck were cooked to perfection along with beautiful sides of veges & potatoes. Kudos to the chef. The best place to dine in Nelson!

Over all a nice place to dine at, food is nice and well presented, service is great and all staff are kind and friendly, ok why not 5 stars then, what on earth is that piece of A4 paper you put on the table for the menu, surely you could afford some nice folders to put the menu in along with a drinks list which you dont have.and whats with having tap beer but none was available, come on guys this would be simple to fix, i would also like to thank you for replying back to your customers on this site.kind regards robin and elsa

Briljant place to eat. Near the centre of the town. The food is excellent. We had the lamb and the venison and red wine ofcourse. The staff is very friendly and the view is on the river.

I loved my stay and felt like royalty here, friendly helpful staff totally delicious food and reasonably priced, room was fantastic with spa bath, comfortable bed, large wall tv/sky, view of water and own outside patio seating. Room service available 24/7.
Already booked my next stay.

The bar is beautiful, especially outside during sunset. However the food is pricy with tiny quantities.

One of us ordered prawn salad, the portions is more a entree, not even full in a small plate, $35.sea food chowder has only one tiny bread come with it, it’s cost $26.

Food are average and took long time to be served, you can found a lot of good restaurants by 5mins walk in town. May come back for drinks but not dinning again.

Very nice friendly staff. Nice decor in the bar. Unless we were here on a very quite week there was no atmosphere around the place.

We went there for breakfast. Pleasant surroundings with views over the Maitai River. Service was okay, but presentation of food was below standard. One omelette was burnt. When we expressed our concern, the staff member simply brushed us off with, "I'll tell them" and moved away. We won't be going back.

Friendly staff and good drinks selection. The meals were delicious and catered to different sizes and diets. There is a nice view and a bunch of games and things for kids to play which takes the pressure off us to entertain our little one while enjoying a meal. Plus they got us in with not a problem on short notice when a couple of other places in town turned us away. A little on the expensive side but overall happy with the experience

The sharing plate for 2 people is ridiculously priced at $58.00 and receiving, 5x different nibbles, 2 of each item.
2x of the smallest muscles we have ever seen, 2x squid rings, 2x dumplings, 2x little pieces of chicken and 2x little Arancini balls all for $58.00!
I had the lamb for $43.00 which was a perfect sized meal, the lamb was beautifully cooked. Dessert was lovely. My husband's Rhubarb and Apple Crumble was much bigger than his main course and only a fraction of the cost.

The food was tasty and well cooked/presented but, the prices need a definite revisit.

Amazing food. Great taste and lovely staff. Very very accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Well worth the money. All 26 of us will be back. Even loved the muddy river.

Enjoyable meal with my wife, steak overcooked but meal as a whole was good. Will happily return.
